The location of this hotel really was ideal. Getting the Cairns lift right back to the boot room is the perfect way to end your day or skiing in down the Plein Sud run. The food catered for all our group which included vegetarians and fussy teens as well being perfect for the bigger hunger teens with an endless appetite! The spa was a lovely sanctuary in the afternoons when the legs got tired. You have to book at reception but it gives you something to look forward to when out on the slopes. The rooms are on the small side but we didn’t spend enough time in it to be an issue. I would recommend this hotel, ignore the negative comments of others.

Ski in, Ski out location excellent with the Cairn lift also dropping you back at the hotel. Bedrooms clean, other communal areas very satisfactory. We were full board and the choice of food at each meal was excellent although the food could have been hotter on occasion. Very friendly staff especially Lea behind the bar. Would certainly recommend and this is our second year stay.

The location of the hotel was good, but otherwise, there are only bad things to say. Very small rooms with poor accommodations. Dirty plates, cutlery, cups, and glasses , had to drink coffe out of a bowl they dont have enough glasses and coffecups.. The food was not good at all (although free wine was a plus). Smelly rooms and a very unpleasant ski storage room. The boot warmer turned itself off in the evening, so you won't have dry boots in the morning. All in all, 1/5 would not recommend this place to anyone.

It was a mixed bag, I’m vegi & had loads of choice at dinner but for meat eaters, there wasn’t much & it ran out by 8pm. One night was couscous with one chicken leg. Food was often lukewarm. Breakfast was ok & people cooking eggs were really lovely & flipped them for me. Bar staff had attitude except one day when they were joined by an energetic female manager who injected enthusiasm- we are on holiday after all! She was lovely. Karaoke was too quiet- could barely hear the music however hosts mic’s were super loud when entertaining kids. Cakes apres ski- are these just for kids? They were served with a dose of- ‘couldn’t care less…’ Tables didn’t get cleared in restaurant & we cleared our own onto other tables so we could sit together. Room was ok, although one skinny pillow & thin duvet. Extraction didn’t work in bathroom or separate loo. Reception staff were lovely.

Just got back from our fantastic adventure in VT, and let me tell you, I was a tad worried after reading a bunch of negative reviews about the hotel. But guess what? No need to sweat it! Right from our arrival the front desk staff welcomed us with big smiles and cheerful vibes, instantly putting my anxious mind at ease. And can we talk about the location? Fabulous! Just a short stroll to the heart of VT – couldn't have asked for better. Kudos to the entire staff! The staff work very hard and always willing to help and always with a smile. Our departure was at the crack of dawn, 3.50 am to be precise, and a super kind night porter opened up the restaurant for us. Coffee, muffins, and delightful conversation – now that is service! We went all-inclusive, and the food was a delight! A variety that changed daily, and we never left disappointed, especially with those lunchtime visits. The all-inclusive drinks were a real treat, especially when you realise a beer on the slopes or in town could cost an arm and a leg – around £10/12 euros, to be precise. Breakfast was from 7.30 am and always a hungry crowd gathering, but fear not – the restaurant is spacious, and there's enough grub for everyone. It was quite amusing to witness some guests making off with entire baskets of baguettes, leaving the rest of us to fight over the crumbs. Same goes for the fruit baskets – no blame on the hotel, just a lack of consideration from some fellow guests. Our twin room may not have been the most spacious, but who cares when you're only there to catch some Zs? Besides, the view of the slopes from our room was simply jaw-dropping. The other guests at the hotel are mostly European, but the language barrier was non-existent. That real European feel made the whole experience even more charming. It was helpful to have the ski hire shop in the hotel and with a boot and ski room- tip the floor is very wet so be careful not to put your feet on the floor whilst putting your boots on as I did - doh! The lockers are operated by your hotel room key and adequate space with air dryers for boots . Cheers to an unforgettable stay at VT and MMV Les Arolles – turns out, the negative reviews were just a bunch of humbug! If we were to return to VT I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation.

I stayed here for a week, half board in January 2024, with a group of friends aged 35-45. The food had a large selection & while the standard doesn’t compare to the many expensive restaurants in VT, it was more than adequate for our needs, with many choices to suit everyone - similar to a hotel carvery style. We had 3 bedrooms, 3 adults in single beds in each room, sharing one bathroom per room - the toilet & shower are separate rooms within the bedrooms. We all slept well, & enjoyed hot showers - again, no complaints. Towels changed twice during 7 night stay, just soap provided in bathrooms. The evening entertainment is geared towards kids under 10, (amateur dramatic shows by the entertainment crew), though there were very few children staying during our week. We were happy to go out to nearby pubs instead. Skiing ends at 4.30, dinner starts at 7pm & the “show” runs around 9pm to 10pm, so plenty of time to relax in the hotel bar area around it if it’s not your thing. Staff in bar & restaurant & on-site ski shop were all great. We rented skis etc from the on-site ski shop, having reviewed prices throughout the resort by calling door to door (all v similar!). Ski shop gave alternative boots, skis etc to some of us as required as the week progressed so well worth using the shop right beside the lockers! Lockers are per room & three sets fit in fine. The hotel is ski-in/ski-out for all except beginners. 3 of our group were beginners & had to walk carrying skis down several streets/slopes. Every hotel in VT is like this except for hotels along the main green slope at the base of the village. It was manageable with adults but would be an ordeal with kids. Overall, 8 adults delighted with our stay & can’t understand the negative reviews which worried us prior to arrival. Perhaps people who aren’t busy skiing all day?

Booked 3 rooms for a party of 5. Check in was smooth and the rooms were ready for us early. Rooms are on the small side but functional & very clean. Plenty of storage, good hot shower and separate toilet. Cleaners came in every day and folded our clothes, made beds and cleaned the bathrooms. No complaints here. We stayed half board which included breakfast and evening meal. Wow! all I can say is the food was amazing. Good choice of hot & cold breakfast including toast, jams, eggs (which you boil yourself so can choose hard or soft) bacon, fried eggs, beans, sausage, porridge, cereals, yoghurt & fresh fruits, honey etc & evening meals were also excellent. We paid £750.00 each and to be honest we thought the food might not be very good & thought we might have to eat out in the evenings. We were so wrong. The food here is amazing and lots of choice for everyone, including vegetarians. The restaurant staff are very helpful & friendly. Also free wine of your choice at dinner (on tap) and was actually quite nice. The bar staff we less friendly and not enough on duty which created long queues at times, especially when the 1 member of staff was making coffees as well. Overall a lovely hotel with good food at a budget price. Thank you for a great holiday experience.

I'll do my best to be objective. Firstly, we booked here as it was listed as "Ski-in, ski-out.". You can ski-in about 5 metres from the Cairn gondola, anything else requires crossing the road. The sizeable step down to the road, followed by the same step up to the piste, means you can't safely do it with skis on, even if there is some snow on the road. I wouldn't, however, argue with anyone stating that it's very close to the piste. The boot room is located in the hotel basement close to the exit, and opposite the "Ski-Set" equipment rental shop. The shop staff were helpful and friendly. The room key doubles as the locker key, with corresponding numbers on the doors. Our locker only had space for two lots of gear. It would be impossible to put three lots in if we had three people in our room. The hotel is showing its age. Not really sure how it gets a 4 star rating. As far as the room goes; We had two single beds, which were a little on the small side. I'm not a giant, I'm 6'2", we moved the beds so my toes weren't touching the wall. Comfortable enough though, with one pillow and one scatter cushion on each bed. No fridge or kettle. There is a wide window sill should you need to chill your beer outside. The shower was great. Always had hot water and plenty of pressure. The toilet is separate from the shower, and has no hand-wash basin. You have to use the one in the shower room. We used the usual system of hanging towels up when we finished, but leaving anything we considered in need of replacement on the floor for the room staff. However, the first time we did this, the same towel was put up on the hook again. When I took the towel down to reception to enquire about this, I was told "But it's only Tuesday!" Yes really. The safe, though fully operational without the need for any assistance from reception, is not bolted down. It's small enough to put where-ever you like. Not the safest hotel safe we've come across. The restaurant is buffet. Breakfast; The toaster is missing its chute, so they've put it sideways on to allow you to catch the toast at the back. No porridge, although there is a microwave and oats to make your own. Not ideal if 20 people want porridge, which is always a popular start to the day for many skiers. There is the usual selection of cheese, ham, bread, eggs, etc. 200 rooms. One toaster. One microwave. Dinner; You have to get in quick if you want soup. Once it's gone, it's gone. They don't do replen here. I ended up with pasta most nights. After a hard day out on the slopes, I look forward to some hearty sustenance. What I would expect is choices for everyone. Meat option, fish option, veggie option. Not too much to expect. Unfortunately, they appear to think it's summer all year round. A cheese day where the only meat was something the guy informed me was fish. A tomato day, a veggie day. We did have a nice chunk of slow-cooked beef on one day, but all-in-all not brilliant. There was plenty of choice for thos
