Logis Hotel le Prieure

Excellent hotel. Great food and friendly atmosphere. Ideal stopover on the road south. Room was very comfortable with good Wi-Fi and facilities. Very quiet location just a short distance from the centre of the town.

Excellent little hotel with a very good restaurant, friendly helpful staff. Rooms slightly dated but clean and well maintained. Well stocked bar in a quiet little lounge off the restaurant. The addition of air conditioning, by far from ubiquitous in similar properties, was a godsend in the hot summer.

Everything in this Logis is of a high quality. The owners obviously take pride in providing the best of everything. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with a good selection and a quality coffee machine.

This is really a restaurant with rooms, this is quite a common feature in France especially close to the Motorway system. The idea being you break your journey from south to north or vice a versa, stop have a good meal with wine and after the meal there is a bedroom. We arrived just as the lunch service was being checked out a little early but we had made good progress on the motorway. A cursory here is your room key was followed by did you get my email, no, Oh the restaurant is closed tonight. I then checked my emails to see if there was one I had missed, no no email, I queried this with the hotel, who then blamed **********. I then asked was there anywhere which served food tonight! Thankfully the local Cafe in the town Centre served food and were very welcoming. Food was not the Haute cuisine we had hoped for but it was warm and wholesome. Back to bed for an early night as there was no service available. I know that the French do not have a high idea about the bathroom but this beats our all time record for bad design and compactness. I admit to being a large chap, but you had to be a contortionist to use the shower or the lavatory. The bathroom was shoe horned in to the minimum amount of space, yet you could have had a party in the unnecessary hanging space. Undaunted we headed for breakfast where we were pointed in to the breakfast room and left to our own devices. No contact at all. On check out the most junior person served us to get our money and we went.

Just to note that this hotel remains an excellent place to stay. Rooms continue neat and clean, place is well-maintained, the owners are friendly and attentive. You do have to continue to be patient in the shower...hot water takes a few minutes to arrive but then is fine. The restaurant is Excellent, the patio peaceful and agreeable. Great food. The house fois gras is some of the very best we have ever had. Recommended again!

Probleme de wifi

Let's be honest about our experience with this hotel. The pictures on the site give a much better impression than reality - they seem to have an excellent photographer. The rooms are clean but small, especially the bathroom. Some maintenance is needed, that's for sure. The food in the restaurant was good and for a fair price. The personnel was friendly. But the garden and terrace really need a gardener. So what you see on the site (trendy garden) was really not comparable with reality. The price for a room is fair but again, expectations were higher.

This hotel is offering decent rooms. Despite the COVID19 rules the food offering for both breakfast and dinner remains very good. If the weather permits, you can enjoy a nice terrasse. I guess the best hotel in the area at reasonable pricing.
