Quite rundown but ok for one night stay

I stayed 4 nights here in a Premier Plus room. Check in was very good by Elaine. If you arrive earlier than the 3pm check in time staff are under instructions not to check in prior unless you’ve paid extra for an early check in. I’ve experienced this before in other Premier Inns The waiting area is small with lots of luggage stored around. I was allocated a room on the 3rd floor where the Premier plus rooms are to the rear of the property. The room was quiet but housekeeping was below par which baffles me every time because if I can see an unclean issue why can’t a professional?? The vent in the bathroom needs a clean and even though the bedding was clean it was stained and IMO shouldn’t be used. I do not use the aircon/heat unit as I find them far too noisy, but I could smell food cooking smells in my room at certain times of the day this must be due to the kitchen being at the rear of the building and the smells travelling up from the vents, this is very off putting and request a room at the front to alleviate this. The pillows aren’t good so happy I brought my own like I always do. The Premier Plus WiFi you receive included with the room is bad, one of those useless WiFi’s which never work. Pointless. Parking is opposite on the council owned land which is very reasonable and ideally located. I would stay here again but ask for a room at the front.

Great breakfast on Sunday 26th the lovely Sally was great really helpful and friendly I really enjoyed my breakfast and will definitely be back thanks
