We stopped here for a night travelling between Picton and Mt Cook. The Motel was on a main road and close to SH1 but set back and quiet clean and pleasant. The manager / owners were friendly, helpful and pleasant, especially after we left our radio behind. They happily arrange postage back to us after we paid the cost Would we stay again. YES - highly recommended.

The hotel is close to the airport and is on the main road to Tekapo. The owner is Chinese. My plane is in the middle of the night. It is almost two o'clock to arrive at the hotel. The boss has opened the heating in the room and it is very warm in the room. Because of the late arrival, I contacted the password of the room key box in advance, but I didn’t think that the New Zealand hotel used a very old password box. After a long time, I didn’t open it. The boss heard the movement and helped open it. Hotel facilities are ok.

Really love the hotel. Very suitable for traveller. There is kitchen for cooking with complete all the aminities. They also provide space to hang out with friends and family. Very near as in 15-20 minutes away from the hotel.

Staff is very friendly and check in on counter was fairly easy. The staff saw that we had a lot of luggages and let us bring the airport trolley to our room. So the next day we just push the trolley from hotel to airport. Which is very convenient for us with many luggages. I will definitely come back this hotel again for next stay due to the location and friendly staff. Hotel buffet was good too. And nice view from the restaurant.

Comfortable hotel in Heart of City. Booked a room using points as a Gold Elite. Requested quiet room and was appointed 3rd floor over traffic lights so receptionist kindly moved me to a room on opposite side. It was quiet however the walls are thin and I can hear a lot of noise this morning - a lot of noise. Room service eggs were excellent, as was bar service last night. They know how to make a good drink. I was a bit annoyed as mini bar knocked this am and said she thought there was “no one in the room” whilst I was on a call. Not so professional. Can recommend as a good hotel in Christchurch (I’ve stayed in quite a few)

Excellent location to explore Christchurch attractions. Very clean and well appointed room for an excellent price (I was wondering what It may be getting into). The room quality was a 3+ star for US standards. The only negative is the lack of parking (only offstreet parking or may have to drive a block away for parking). The clean room, friendly staff and excellent location and the overall niceness of Christchurch and it's people in general made us quickly get over the initial stress of trying to find a place to park. Late arrival (after midnight) so enquired as to a later check-out. Despite paying full-price for a room that we only used for less than 11hrs they couldn't (wouldn't?) offer us a late check-out without paying a required fee which passed on. Breakfast also expensive at $35 per person (inc. children) so we missed out this. Room clean with expected amenities although a bit nosey in the morning as we were on the ground floor and there were a group of people chatting loudly outside of the room. Bed nice and comfy though, shower water power disappointing. Customer service on check-in wasn't overly welcoming but the female staff member who we checked out with was informative.

I stayed at the North South Holiday Park at the start of my solo NZ trip and very happy with my choice. The owner Dan picked me up from the airport ($5) and was able to transport me with my bike. I was able to check in early to my accommodation which was great as my flight came in early and I was jetlagged. I stayed two nights in an ensuite cabin which more than met my needs. There is a Burger King, Petrol station, highway inn within walking distance and a supermarket close by. When I went to set up my bike equipment the day after I arrived, I realised my tire was flat as my airline had misokaced some of my luggage I didn't have a bike pump. Dan was very accommodating and helped provide me with tools I needed for my bike. I highly recommend staying here and shall return here for the end of my journey in the south island.

Beautiful and quiet courtyard, complete kitchen facilities, and convenient living around. Especially the Korean bosses are warm and kind and responsible for their work. One day, my husband answered the phone in the yard, accidentally put his bag on the stool in the yard and left. Our passports, ID cards and other important things were all inside. Twenty minutes later, we found out that the bag was gone, and we were in a hurry. When the domestic epidemic was tense and international flights were cancelled again, we would be unable to move without a passport. We told the Korean boss about this, he asked about the situation, let us not worry. Ten minutes later, he delivered the bag to our room. There were a lot of passports and cash in the bag. We are very fortunate to book this hotel, and met this honest and kind Korean owner, who is away from home, this hotel is trustworthy. Call the owner!
