Lovely place comfortable quiet good friendly staff overall great service and happy

This is a hidden gem for business guests. I have stayed in this hotel a few times over the last 3 years and found the product very suitable to my needs. Great value for money and the team is very attentive. Although it’s only 7-8 mins drive from Gatwick you don’t feel you are near an airport. Totally deserves a 5* review.. will return soon.

Nice hotel, suitable for leisure vacation, camping and horse riding

Excellent hotel to stay in to catch early flights. Great shuttle bus. Nice bat and ok good. Only downside was soap dispensers didn't work the barmen throwing empties into rubbish bin behind bar causing a ridiculous unnecessary noise to break what was otherwise a nice atmosphere, small issue but both are easily remidied.

I spent one night at the Europa and I wasn't very much I pressed considering the price of the room (almost £80). Here the issues I spotted: 1) Poor bus connection and time consuming (40 minutes) to and for the airport : number 100 is a bus with no racks for the luggages 2) At the bus stop no indications for the Hotel, so ease use an app to find out the hotel's direction 2) Room not very clean 3) Power sockets on the opposite wall compared to the sidebed's tables 4) Bathroom's fan dirty 5) Bathroom's sink ruined 6) very noisy Aircon in the room Positive has been the interaction with a Lady at the check-in and the taxi connection. I do believe that for approximately £80 the quality should improve: cleaner rooms and higher quality of the furniture. As mentioned, the staff was very nice and kind, but on a scale from 0 to 10 I would value my experience as 5-.

I specifically booked a night at the Sofitel Gatwick because it included 'Meet and Greet' parking with Maple Parking. Had they not included this I would have still stayed but made other arrangments for my car. I arrived at the Maple Parking Meet and Greet and parked the car. Took my keys over to the attendant and signed in. I then asked if they could give me 20 minutes to check in to the hotel, change clothes and bring a bag back to the car. We didnt want to bring a bag of unclean clothes on holiday with us. Here's where things went downhill faster than Gwynth Paltrow on ski's. The attendant, a tall bloke with a mid-european accent shouted at me 'No, do you know you are at an airport'. He actually shouted this. Shouted. To a customer. Take a minute to breathe that in. Fortunatly I knew I was at an airport, having driven 4 hours to get there. To hear that I was at an airport was no surprise, to be shouted at by a car park attendant was. I explained that I didnt want to take a case of unclean clothes on holiday with me. His response to that was 'we are extremly busy and your car will be removed immediately'. I asked if the hotel would hold the bag and he replied 'No they will not hold your stupid bag'. Here's where I should have murdered him with his Maple Meet and Greet Staff lanyard, but I did not. I asked for my keys back to be told once again in an truely agresive manner 'if you take your keys I will close the entry and you can't come back'. I took the keys and left. I then had to park at Gatawick Long stay for an additional £150. We finally checked into the hotel, explained the situation. The checkin lady (Alessia?) apologised and gave us two tokens for a free drink at the bar. They also kept our bag for us. Is this the fault of Sofitel Gatwick? I think it is. They decided to partner with a company that treats people appalingly. So they've got to accept responsibility for that. Please share this review, If I saw something like this I would have chose another car park or another hotel. Other people should be warned.

I loved my experience at the Bloc. It was so easy to find and very welcoming after a long train journey. The staff were very helpful with my questions about simple things. I liked the complementary drinks in the serving room, the lovely thick towels and welcome message for me, and also that the room was dark and quiet, which I needed for a long journey ahead of me. I liked the discounts in surrounding shops. Perfect.

I feel very satisfied with everything and will choose here next time. I really like this English country house. The craftsmanship of the restaurant is also very good. Attended here 24/9 for a family wedding. After some initial planning issues due to multiple staff changes the wedding event ran very smoothly. The planner, Charlotte and the M/C, Chris were excellent and could not have done more to keep the whole event on track. The wedding took place in the Tithe Barn which transformed from official venue to dining room to dance floor seamlessly. The transition was helped by the perfect weather which meant guests could linger in the spacious gardens whilst the staff did their thing. Food was well prepared and even the minor issue of incorrect dishes to specific individuals was quickly rectified. Waiting staff were very extremely pleasant and affable whilst also being efficient. Buffet style breakfast the following morning with a good selection of hot or cold foods to select from. Lower levels of this building have benefitted from being totally refurbished following some severe flooding and this gives the hotel a really sleek and modern initial appearance. However, once you climb the stairs to the bedrooms all that changes. Whilst there was nothing specific that meant I had to complain the upper levels are really tired. The décor is dated and although clean could really do with updating. The windows are single glazed, timber framed so must ship heat to the outside world by the bucket load. The hot water in the sink took an eternity to heat and even then was only mildly warm. We, and other guests in our party, had multiple failures of the room key cards which meant having to trek all the way back down to reception to get the issue sorted. Yes, these are very first world issues but this is not a cheap hotel, it's run by a major international group and should be better. My advice, by all means book for a meeting, party, wedding or similar function but don't book over night rooms. It really was like visiting two separate venues on the one site.

The highlight of this hotel is the staff. Faiza, and the reception team were always super caring, attentive, nice and ready to help. The breakfast staff I don't remember any names but one of the guys were glasses, he and the whole team were really nice and smiley and eager to make sure I was comfortable and got everything I needed. Agnes from cleaning was always very sweet and so hardworking making sure the room was perfect and super clean. Regarding the hotel itself it is okay. The carpets in the ro gave a very old look but it depends on the taste I guess. The biggest problem for me was the fact that there was no gym.
