The first time I stayed at this hotel, I feel very good. It is very close to the bus station to Santa Claus Village and the airport (opposite the hotel entrance). The hotel has a dedicated luggage storage room, which is convenient for leaving the store in advance. Recommended!

I used it as a couple in December 2022. It is located about 5 minutes on foot from the k supermarket in the city center, and is in the opposite direction from the area where restaurants are gathered. Although it was the winter season, the sidewalks were cleanly cleared of snow, and after getting off the bus in front of the supermarket, you could walk to the hotel while rolling your carry-on bag. Not far enough to take a taxi. There are many houses around and it is quiet. I didn't use it, but there seems to be a sauna. Breakfast was delicious. It was a general menu such as bread, ham, cheese, salad, yogurt. The room was clean, but there was no safe. There is no partition between the shower and the toilet in the bathroom, so the toilet gets soaked when you take a shower. Overall, it is a recommended hotel.

We booked on booking.com, but when we arrived to check in we were told our room had been double booked and we were being downgraded. We had originally booked the room with private sauna, so were very disappointed that we did not have this facility, particularly as the communal sauna is only open for around 3 hours per day and we had an activity booked the same time so could not use it at all. The location is stunning and we had fun walking the various trails from the hotel. We had two activities booked which both collected from the hotel, but otherwise we had to get taxis to and from the town centre as there is no public transport to the hotel. Taxis cost around €20 each way, and reception can book them for you. Room was nice, but the light switches were quite difficult to use. We were also a bit cold and could not see a way to up the temperature. The bath was lovely, and came with bubble bath, robes and slippers which we made use of. Our view was of a car park, so that was not great. Breakfast was amazing, lovely views and they even had honey on the comb. You have to book the restaurant in advance, or make alternative plans (but keep in mind there are not really any other options around the hotel). Staff were friendly.

🚗 Traffic: The only drawback is that it's really far away and you can take a taxi anywhere. There is a hotel special bus in the morning but it's missed. Everything else is fine.

Meet the New Year family in this wonderful place. Very glad they didn't make a mistake with the choice. Rest on 5 out of 5. It is really a very beautiful place in nature in the surrounding rivers (or lakes) and mothy oils, but to the city and village of Santa Claus hand to hand on the car. The houses themselves are cute, warm and comfortable, the atmosphere is home. Sound isolation is excellent. There is a sauna, and everything is! The hosts are pleasant and responsive people, thank you very much! All this creates a delightful mood and therefore contributes to a good rest! Minus, if such are, they are completely unwilling to notice. But I'll still let myself have a spoon of degth. Because it was New Year I personally didn't have enough dishes and I would have been good to update it. Well, in general everything is wonderful and we got better than we expected. Place to return! The Santa Holidays Village hotel is great for families. Be careful with the reservations you make on Trip, we reserved a chalet for 2 adults and 2 children, arriving for check-in we were told that Trip only reserved for two adults and therefore the children must be paid extra. It is not serious for TRIP not to communicate the true price upon reservation. This site lacks transparency (it just notes a remark saying that additional fees may be charged by the hotel for children without telling you how much and especially without telling you that they have only booked for two people). So the worst thing is to have a room that is not even suitable for a family. At Santa Claus we had to pay 30€/night per child (fortunately we had booked a chalet so it was big enough for 4). We had the same experience in another hotel over the same period (apukka resort) which charged us €100 per night per child in an igloo, fortunately the igloo allocated to us could accommodate 2 children otherwise we would have been without the possibility of accommodating 4 of us.

The hotel is not far from the Santa Claus Village and is easily accessible by walking (Just 10 min). First time staying in an Igloo and it is definitely worth the money. Room is small but clean and well-decorated. Breakfast has wide variety of selections. Staff is very friendly and she gave us an Igloo beside the forest which is isolated and quiet. Love waking up every morning lying on the bed enjoying the views of White Christmas Trees surrounding our room. The glass is installed with heater which can melt the frost anytime when needed. The only disappointed is that we didn't get to see Northern Lights for our 2 nights stay. Will definitely stay here again if back in Rovaniemi.

The Glass Igloo is small and not much space to open the luggage, however they have a very nice hot water shower which has around max. 25mins which you will be able to relax from whole day travel ☺️ . The location is not near airport, takes almost 40mins. shuttle bus from Santa Clause village to hotel. Though this location is really good for the chance of seeing Northern Lights ! We did ! Unluckily their ice bar and ice restaurant both under renovation and we don’t have chance to experience. That’s the downside of it.

Restaurant: The breakfast is good, with a variety of varieties, but the European gourmet bread is relatively poor here, and there are not many options for dinner. When I went, there were only three types of fish, chicken, and vegetarian, so I didn't eat it. Facilities: Disappointing, the wifi is very poor, often can't receive it, it can be used as no wifi. It's super inconvenient, even the Greater China Go bought in Hong Kong can't receive the Internet, it should be a problem with the location. I booked a lakeside room type, and the private sauna room is so small, I think it is only enough for 1 person, and there is not enough space for 2 people, it is really shocking! Totally unexpected for such a facility for such a price. The only redeeming feature of the hotel is its beautiful scenery, but the price/performance ratio is extremely low.
