Cosy Cottage Thermal Holiday Park

Just left staying at this campground in 2 units, one with bathroom 1 without with 3 kids 2 adults. Very happy all round. Clean, tidy units beds comfy. The pool was exceptionally good on hot days for all. I looked around at the camping kitchen and toilet facility's all very clean tidy and well equipped for tenting and camper vans (I will be back for camping for sure for any of their options to stay). Walk to Lake very close, very handy to the township and other tourist Hotspot. Very friendly receptionist. ... felt definately a cozy camp ground with people coming and going. Will be back thank you

The motel is located in the city center and is convenient for travel. The boss was very enthusiastic and introduced a lot of useful information. Thank you again!

It is a motorhome and campground. It seems to be very popular in New Zealand. When you arrive at a holiday, the family rents a RV and runs around. The scattered spots are few people, so you can only play like this. There is a public kitchen with tableware, but it is less than the seasonings. Bathing is going to go all the way to the open air, and the hot springs are also. The hot springs are not bad, it feels like the door to hell, but of course there is no such landscape. In fact, the door to hell is just a good place to go shopping, so the meaning of the bubble is not so big.

Firstly the place is very unclean. It is very dated which I can live with but it is not clean, the bedding had stains, the bathroom had used tissues and hair everywhere, the fridge wasn’t switched on, the mineral pools I wouldn’t go near goodness knows what disease you could catch. However the WORST THING was when one night there was a fight going on in another room, an extremely loud and violent fight that went on all night and we had no one to contact. There is no after hours contact number to call so I hoped that the owners were on site and would hear the disturbance and deal with it but nothing happened. I then prayed that someone would call the police, I wanted to call the police but was too afraid they would want to talk to me and that the people causing the trouble would know it was me who reported them. So we waited terrified the whole night. Upon leaving I went to reception to let them know what I thought about my stay and after ringing the bell and waiting a long time a young girl came out to assist us. The owners were not there, in fact they were not there the whole night! They left a young girl there on her own to look after the motel and for her work they would give her 10 days of free accommodation! I couldn’t believe my ears! Had I have called the police this girl would have had to confront the situation on her own. I asked her to please be safe as I feared for her safety. DO NOT STAY AT THIS MOTEL!!! WHATEVER YOU DO SEEK ACCOMODATION ELSEWHERE!!! It is unclean, there is no surveillance, no after hours contact number nothing! They then ‘employ’ young women to watch the premises at night and clean the entire place for no pay! Disgraceful! I will be taking my complaint further.

This is one of the best motel experiences we have. The motel is very close to the city center (walking distance), the information center, the snack street, the lakeside, the government garden and the convention center. Hot springs, heated pools, geothermal heating, free WiFi are all good reasons to stay here, but the most important thing is the welcome from young enthusiastic bosses and staff: They really make us feel welcome and make sure we get all the messages we need.

Very suitable for children, there is a children's playground, swimming pool, room with kitchenette, supporting kitchen utensils. Not far from the hotel, it is a very open lake view, you can refer to the following pictures
