I usually travel to Baltimore on business and never stayed at La Quinta before so decided to give it a shot. I’ve never been so disappointed at the quality of breakfast a hotel offered for its guests. It’s sad and shocking that a third world country like Ecuador offers a better quality type of continental breakfast versus a big chain hotel like La Quinta. There were no bacon, sausage, fresh fruit even most of the items a continental breakfast has. There was only muffins, hard boiled eggs (not even scrambled) yogurt and bread.

At check in I was asked to pay $100.

Our electricity went out at home so we had to get a hotel for that night when we got there she gave us the key to our room and the first room was dirty. It was already slept in and wet towels were on top of the toilet so we had to go back downstairs with My Husband and Son, and carry all our stuff back to get a new room After getting a key to the new room the only thing that was clean was the beds which was fine we were so tired we just wanted to sleep. We had to wash up at the sink because the shower still has soap scum all in it, and it was gross Found pieces of paper on the floor around the sink and found open cutlery inside of the drawer so the next morning when we went downstairs, we checked out early in the morning went to go get breakfast and it seemed like everybody else polled their plate so there’s no food Except muffins for my son who is five years old I did let them know that morning about the second room that I got and they told me OK I apologize are just gonna have to speak to the manager tomorrow. She’s not here. I don’t know what happened but things change this place is dirty And disgusting and they do not care about it.

They charged us an extra $100.00 when we checked in. They said that they would reverse the charge on our credit card. They have yet to reimburse us. This charge is for damages they said that may occur to the room. There are no damages of course. We left it clean and neat. Still we have not received our deposit back on the credit card.

The room was not clean, there was hair which wasn’t mine on the bed and in the shower. There was feces in the bathroom by the toilet paper roll. I literally used a Clorox wipe to clean it off, so I was confused why housekeeping couldn’t do the same. They had the nerve to ask for 100 deposit.

The staff was great to work with. We ended up with a discount on our rooms due to roaches in one of the rooms that we rented. The roaches were babies and not adults. The manager said that they had sprayed. I'm assuming that eggs hatches after they sprayed and they needed to spray again. Either way, it was an inconvenience to my son.

Smell of cleaner was so strong I got a headache. Had to open window and door to get a cross breeze. TV did not work at all - this is a chronic issue at this hotel. There is also at least one person every time I’m there that goes early to breakfast and proceeds to take a stack of plates -4-5 full of food up to her room. Other than that it’s clean and price is right and animal friendly
