Everything was fabulous about Sevenford House - house and gardens are beautiful, great library to browse, wonderful breakfast, and very kind and welcoming hosts. And the best starting point for the Hanging Stones. There are also good pubs nearby for the evenings. Thank you.

I can't give a review of the rooms as we were allowed to stay in our moterhome in the car park but the service was excellent, we dined in and can say the menue does not do the food justice, and said this to the staff. The food was excellent, and we were not disappointed we had homemade lassagne with chips and peas served with a generous mixed salad dressed with balsamic glase. The view from the carpark is beautiful, the service from the bar was 10 out of 10 , great spot to discover many great places around the moors. Will be back again thanks guys!!!

Went with Willfreda Beehive for a three night stay March 25th to the 28th while we toured Yorkshire during the day on the coach. Good points: The quirky 16th century hotel has undergone a renovation and redecoration to present day amenities. Food was generally good (explanation below). Most rooms were big and comfortable (exception below). The staff (only 3 of them at one time) were very pleasant and would bend over backwards to help you. Our driver was excellent and entertained us with a couple of great quizzes which we did not expect. Bad points: We were in room 5 which although had a very comfortable bed, we had to put our toiletries on the window sill in the bedroom as there was no room in the tiny en-suite. The shower was very small for turning around in and I am of an average build. Due to the lack of space, the sink (hand basin) was tiny and impossible to shave in as water went all over the floor. There was a cracked tile under the toilet that wobbled when you had to step on it. I reported it and it was improperly repaired the next day as it broke again. The whole tile should have been replaced to fix it. The TV was very small. We were invited to change rooms to a bigger one but we were so tired after travelling and it would have been such a faff collecting everything and moving it all to the other room that we just stayed and made the most of it. Long delays in getting the cooked breakfast ready and for the first two days it was not hot enough. The final morning was brilliant though. Long delays waiting for desert on the first night. The final evening meal was very good and delivered promptly. Conclusion The hotel is understaffed (generally understandable given the remote location of it). The chef was also acting as manager which presumably cause the food delays. They need more staff to make the operation run smoother. Apparently they are getting three more staff for the Easter break but hopefully the staff level is increased permanently. I would stay there again if I was travelling in that area but not in room 5. I wish the staff all the best.

We have been lucky enough to have visited Sevenford House for 20 years and more. We go with our group of friends and we all look forward to our trip each year. Linda and Ian are brilliant hosts. The rooms are spotless and beds are so comfortable. The breakfasts are wonderful and extremely hard to beat . 14 of us stay at Sevenford , some in the cottage and the others in the house. It’s just our perfect place to go and long may we keep returning .

We’ve all been friends since the 60’s and see each other regularly. Most of us have been visiting Rosedale for over 60 years and we have been staying at Sevenford House for over 30 years. 4 couples in the House and 3 couples in the cottage. We also book rooms at The White Horse Farm Hotel for any additionals - this year 8 people. We normally meet at The Coachhouse in the village at 1pm on the Friday for sarnies/Chips. A lovely pub. Then up to Sevenford where we always have a party on the Friday Night. Linda and Ian always a join us for a boogie. The breakfasts are wonderful and nothing is too much trouble. We absolutely LOVE it up there. Go and you will not be disappointed.

Despite horrendous storm and power cut they managed to provide us with an excellent meal 1 hr after our arrival. Beautifully situated in Rosedale fantastic views. We were served a Sherry on arrival and eventually tea and cakes, this was each day we stayed. Despite natures attempt to thwart our enjoyment and deliveries not arriving Gavin and his team did everything they could to make our stay a success. The food was Michelin standard and plentiful. We have been on many coach trips over the years and this overall was the best yet. Food, drink was all excellent quality! A young team but what an energetic and entusiastic bunch they are. Any problems sorted immediately and professionally. All new management and team that gel together well. Really well done Gavin,Chloe, Carl, and Liam you are a credit to the hospitality industry! We will return as the saying goes and good luck with all your plans for the future!

We received a very warm welcome when we arrived, the room was very small but clean. Unfortunately we found the whole place very cold, heating was rarely put on, we were however provided with a heater for our room. They clearly had a problem with the fire alarm which went off at 7.30 on our 1st morning and a couple of other times, when there was no fire. Housekeeping was none-existent, our tea tray was not replenished any time during our stay and 1 day we had to ask 3 times for milk before we were given any, also the bin was not emptied during our stay. There was a good selection on the hot food counter for breakfast but the plates were stone cold so it didn't stay hot for long. Also no mattress protectors on our bed, these are a must.

We stayed here with Wilfreda Beehive coach holidays on a 3 night joint new year and 70th birthday celebration for my husband and couldn't have chosen better. I contacted the hotel prior to our stay and they very kindly gave us a superior room and put up a birthday banner which I had posted to them. My husband was very happy with this surprise and I would like to thank any of the staff involved in this. It may have seemed a small gesture on their part but it meant a lot to us. Our room was clean, warm and very nice with a massive bath and shower room. A comfortable bed and very quiet room made for wonderful sleeps while we were there. The food was incredible - I doubt you would get better in a top rate restaurant. Well done to the catering team. Must also say a big thank you to all of the staff. They are a young team of people but could give lessons to some other establishments on how to work in the hospitality business. Whatever the request, it was accommodated to the best of their ability. 10 out of 10 to all of the team for their positive, helpful, friendly attitude. Thoroughly enjoyed our live New Years eve entertainment which was an unexpected bonus, as were the canapes and the 7 course taster menu meal. Every mouthful was delicious. A very big thank you to all at the White Horse Farm Inn for making our stay and my husbands 70th such a wonderful occasion. We can highly recommend this venue and its wonderful hilltop location with spectacular views.
