"A few years ago, I visited Haikou with friends. My friend booked this hotel for our two-night stay before we headed to Sanya, and I distinctly remember having a wonderfully positive experience. That's why this year, when planning a family trip, I confidently chose The Langham Haikou again. My family was also incredibly satisfied with the hotel choice for this trip; both the front desk staff and the restaurant service received high praise from them. We were especially delighted with our room. It offered a breathtaking panoramic view, allowing us to lie in bed and soak in the beautiful sights of Century Bridge, the expansive ocean, and Wanlu Park. The beauty and comfort were truly indescribable. What's more, the price was quite reasonable. Haha, we're extremely satisfied! I highly recommend everyone to visit and experience it for yourselves."

"Honestly, the location is quite remote; you have to walk through a small road to get to the hotel. The room was okay, with a slightly new decor and a nice smell. The only downside is that the black door is covered in greasy handprints from frequent use, which is unpleasant. The breakfast was quite limited."

"I booked this hotel on the spur of the moment and was surprised by the stable experience! Arriving at 11 PM, there was no line at the front desk. After checking my information, I received my room card quickly and was even reminded of the breakfast time. This is a newly opened hotel, and the room was very clean. They also offer free airport transfers, which is very convenient and highly recommended!"

"This hotel is beautifully situated right by the sea, offering a truly serene and picturesque setting. What's more, the value for money during our summer vacation stay was exceptional. The rooms are great, and there are two swimming pools along with dedicated water play facilities for children. There's a wide range of activities available, so you could easily spend a whole day here without needing to leave the hotel. The ocean is just across the road, and it's super convenient to grab coconuts and other local refreshing treats right by the beach. The only minor drawback is that items at the hotel's mini-mart are quite pricey, even more expensive than what you'd find in a mountaintop shop. I hope the hotel considers improving this; while a slight markup is understandable, it shouldn't unnecessarily detract from their overall image. Overall, it's definitely worth staying and highly recommended."

"Let's start with the good points ❤️. The hotel's public areas are quite spacious, the staff are friendly and helpful, the air conditioning is effective, and there's live music in the evenings. There are four swimming pools; the lifeguard at the large deep pool is very responsible, and swim caps are mandatory. They even help older guests with doors and proactively informed us that the nearby spa has restrooms and showers. Only the white slide at the bubble pool was open, but it was still fun enough. The hot spring pool was nice and warm, not crowded, and very relaxing. The daily children's activities were quite good; we participated in the Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls) and fruit tea DIY, which were ready to eat and tasted delicious. Breakfast was standard; nothing surprisingly special, but it had all the essentials. We chose a suite, and having two bathrooms was very convenient. Now, for the complaints 😤. This was my second trip to Haikou, specifically to let my child play in the sand. However, the beach at the Sheraton felt completely detached from the hotel. There was absolutely nothing there – just endless sand, not even a single chair. I truly don't understand the point of having a beachfront like that... Upon check-in, every guest is assigned a butler and asked to add them on WeChat by scanning a QR code. On the day of my arrival, I asked if children's activities could be booked on the same day and was told yes. However, both the brochure in the lobby and the WeChat group (after scanning to join) stated that activities required booking at least two hours in advance. This group had nearly 200 strangers, and to sign up, they required room number, name, phone number, etc. I found the hotel's privacy protection awareness to be extremely poor. So, the next morning, I sent my personal registration information to the butler, asking her to help register me internally. Two hours later, the butler directly posted my personal information into the group chat! Meanwhile, when I went directly to the activity registration room, I was told that all DIY activities for that day had already been fully booked the night before. It was only resolved after I complained to the front desk. For such a well-established five-star hotel, their procedures and privacy awareness are simply appalling. And the activity I finally managed to register for after complaining was chaotic, with no proper instructions. Next, regarding room cleaning. On the first day, our room wasn't cleaned until around 2 PM. I asked a staff member, who said there's a 'Please Make Up Room' button on the door, and pressing it would prompt immediate service. However, the next day, I pressed it before leaving at 8:30 AM, and by 1 PM, no one had come. It took another hour after calling guest services for housekeeping to finally arrive... So, is that button just for show? The room itself showed signs of age and neglect: the faucet leaked even when fully shut, the tiles on the bathroom floor behind the door were broken, and there were countless scuffs and damages. The mattress wasn't particularly soft, but it wasn't uncomfortable to sleep on either. On my way to the airport on the last day, the butler messaged me, asking if I had any issues during my stay. I mentioned the late room cleaning, and she apologized, offering a fruit platter and late checkout for a future stay. She even asked if I could refrain from posting a review... Quite the gesture of 'sincerity' – shouldn't such an inquiry be made a day in advance? Oh, and the children's small pool was extremely dirty. Perhaps it was because kids went directly from the beach into the pool to play... It's hard to believe that a five-star hotel's service could be so problematic!"

"The room was spacious, equipped with a small sofa, a work desk, and plenty of storage, including a designated spot for luggage near the entrance. As a returning guest, I didn't snap any photos of the room this time. Our main reason for visiting was to take the kids swimming, as we specifically wanted a hotel with an indoor pool. Sofitel's design and ambiance are also very stylish and attractive, and the current affordable price made it an easy choice! The pools are excellent, divided into three sections: a large 1.4-meter indoor pool and a smaller, warm pool (Pic 1). The outdoor pool offers nice views too, and is great for a swim in the evening. A big thank you to Amber for the thoughtful little gift (Pic 2)! We opened the blind box and got an adorable little kangaroo pulling a suitcase 🦘. She also kindly asked about our stay in detail, which was incredibly considerate ❤️."

Overall, the hotel's prime location and beautiful surroundings are definitely its biggest highlight. Guests can easily walk to shopping areas, admire stunning sunset vistas, enjoy a leisurely stroll in the adjacent Wanlv Park, and savor local specialty dishes nearby. This hotel offers exceptional value, making it a top choice for both business and leisure travelers."

"From the moment I stepped into the hotel, I felt the meticulous service. I was impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm of the hotel staff. From the front desk to the room service, every employee smiled, greeted me proactively, and always responded to my needs quickly. Especially when checking in, the front desk not only handled the formalities efficiently, but also introduced the hotel's facilities and services in detail, and even upgraded my room type. The hotel's golden key service surprised me! Praise the lobby manager Xiao Wu for his patient and careful care [grin] The hotel's gym and swimming pool are great, with advanced facilities and well maintained: the hotel has a superior geographical location, convenient surrounding transportation, and is close to major attractions and commercial areas, which is very suitable for travel and business trips. Next time, Junhua Haiyi will be my first choice"

"I was very pleasantly surprised by my stay at Atour Hotel this time. As soon as I entered the lobby, I felt it was very bright and grand. The check-in process was very quick, the service was very enthusiastic, and they told me the location of the hotel's facilities. The room was spacious and clean, fresh, and odorless, with good sound insulation. Although it was centrally air-conditioned, there was no sound. You can also call Xiaodu to help you turn on the TV and curtains. The breakfast was also very rich, with both Chinese and Western styles. When I checked out, I was given water to drink on the way. The service was very enthusiastic."

"The first time I came to Haikou Mission Hills to play golf, I chose the top-of-the-line hotel Ritz. Compared with other Ritz hotels in the country, this hotel is very cost-effective, which is really a benefit for golfers. Although the scale of this Ritz is small and the crowd is relatively small, from the hardware facilities to the service quality, it is the most in line with the hotel culture standards of all the Ritz hotels I have stayed in. The hotel is well maintained, the overall style is luxurious and steady, with a strong British gentleman style, but not old-fashioned. The style, color matching and decoration materials are worthy of the quality of Ritz. The room is well soundproofed, the balcony is large, the bedding is super comfortable, and you can have a good rest after playing golf. Suzy, the housekeeper, is considerate and asked about the check-in requirements before arrival, and any needs can be responded to immediately. Including other service staff, the attitude is particularly perfect. This hotel is definitely the best choice in Mission Hills Resort."
