"The service was excellent, and the environment was quite good. It's not far from the ancient city, and you can catch a bus to the high-speed rail station right outside the hotel. They were very thoughtful, even moving us to the seventh floor because they were worried we might be bothered by a tour group on the sixth floor. At first glance, the room looked great, probably a renovation of an old building, but it didn't hold up to closer inspection. The bathroom is the most important for me, but the toilet clashed with the door when opened, the exhaust fan was very noisy, the shower door was difficult to slide, and the hangers couldn't even hang straight in the closet. What I was most dissatisfied with was the breakfast. Perhaps it just didn't suit our taste, my apologies, but personally, I'd have to say I was unhappy with it. I won't be posting any pictures of the hotel."

"This was the second boutique B&B we chose for our Hunan trip, and according to my friend, it's considered the best in Fenghuang Ancient Town. Actually, before choosing this hotel, I was quite conflicted because there were two options. One focused on the view, offering a first-class river view right outside the window, while the other prioritized comfort, including both soft and hard amenities. Ultimately, I narrowed it down to two places: one with the amazing view but noticeably inferior hardware, software, and service, and the other being Tangshe. I finally went with Tangshe because a view always requires movement; no matter how beautiful a window frame is, it's not as good as stepping directly into the scenery. Let me share my thoughts and evaluation of Tangshe. **Environment:** To be honest, Tangshe's location isn't top-tier. The most beautiful part of Fenghuang Ancient Town is undoubtedly along the Tuojiang River, while Tangshe is closer to the town's center. The advantage, however, is that it's much quieter compared to the hustle and bustle along the river. For guests who prefer a peaceful retreat away from the crowds, Tangshe is a better choice. Considering everything, I gave it 4.5 points. **Service:** This deserves a huge thumbs up! Although most of the hotel staff are young, they are all very enthusiastic and polite. The hotel even has two dedicated butlers: one to answer and solve questions about accommodation and travel, and another for food and entertainment. Both were very responsible, and their responses were incredibly prompt and active. What deserves the most praise is the hotel's free laundry service (wash + dry), which was completed in as little as four hours – a huge convenience for travelers in summer. In short, the hotel's service (substantive, not just superficial) far surpasses many five-star hotels! **Hygiene:** The hotel's hygiene is excellent. Both the rooms and public areas are kept to a very high standard of cleanliness. The only thing that needs improvement is the hotel's unique infinity pool. Perhaps because fewer guests use it, the cleaning and maintenance weren't as good. However, after bringing this to the hotel's attention, they took it very seriously and rectified the issue immediately, which is commendable. **Facilities:** The hotel boasts an infinity pool, which is quite rare in the ancient town outside of large five-star hotels. It's valuable for both photo ops and actual use (very practical in summer). Additionally, there's a small garden and a bar on the rooftop. The small garden has many succulents, making it a great spot for photos, while the bar is perfect for enjoying a drink with music in the evening and savoring a 'cup of life'. **In summary:** For guests who prefer a quiet environment, and have high expectations for hardware and service, this hotel is highly recommended as a top choice."

My room was on the fifth floor of the back building. It was very quiet at night, and the noise level was very well controlled, so those who are concerned about noise should feel at ease. Cleanliness: ★★★★★ Relatively clean. I didn't find any hair or stains on the bedding. The tabletops and other items showed signs of cleaning. There was no noticeable odor in the bathroom or the room. Nearby Attractions: ★★★★★ The high-speed rail station is 9 kilometers away, about a 30-minute walk. The ancient city area is about 1 kilometer away, and it takes 30 minutes to walk through the streets and alleys to the center. For those who prefer a more winding route, I recommend walking directly along the river to avoid navigating the alleys. Alternatively, you can use the mini-app provided by the front desk staff to follow the directions. Hotel Service: ★★★★★ My room was offered a high-speed rail transfer. The driver was very friendly, knowledgeable about the local culture, and offered excellent recommendations. Both the pick-up and drop-off were very punctual. Upon arrival, the front desk staff provided tips for exploring the ancient city and even provided directions through a mini-app for those who didn't have a plan, helping them avoid pitfalls. It truly made me cry. PS: This is a purely subjective review, based on a couple's travels, and our partner is quite particular about hygiene."

"Traveling with five people, including seniors and children, we stayed at this hotel and were extremely satisfied! From the moment we got off the train, taxi drivers kept trying to recommend other hotels, claiming this one was too far and hard to get to. In reality, there's a small path directly from the hotel into the ancient town, which is incredibly convenient – much more so than those budget hotels or guesthouses. Every staff member we encountered was wonderful. The front desk attendant even gave the kids a small toy that he paid for himself. One evening, when we were all heading to the ancient town, it started raining, and the hotel manager even arranged a car to take us to Wubridge, even though I had only booked a basic room. The hotel's buffet dinner had unlimited fresh crayfish, and the lamb chops were delicious! The small pastries were also excellent! There were only a few tables dining at dinner, but they certainly didn't cut corners. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the train station in a business van, which was perfect for our group of five, otherwise we would have needed two taxis. It's a free service (remember to call ahead to book). The housekeeping auntie was also very kind and always smiling when she brought us things. The young staff clearing plates at the buffet were very diligent, and the tables were always spotless. All in all, for this price, service, and dining standard, this is definitely the number one choice in Fenghuang Ancient Town – unparalleled. "This hotel is right by the river, and the whole building is covered in greenery, creating a fantastic ambiance. There's also an observation deck on the top floor where you can overlook the ancient town, offering a superb view. Just turn right when you leave the hotel and follow the river, and you'll be directly in the heart of the ancient town. The best part is not having to lug heavy luggage through the town. The young lady at the front desk was exceptionally nice and even helped with our bags. There are free Miao ethnic costumes available on the first floor to try on. The rooms feature smart home technology, and the bedding is comfortable. Breakfast is also included. Highly recommend this place if you're coming to Fenghuang! If I had to pick a fault, we stayed on the fifth floor and found the shower water pressure a bit low. I'm not sure if it's because of the high floor or if the showerhead was a bit clogged. I hope they can look into it."

"Nicely designed hostel located at the end of a quiet street and in front of a small hill with lots of trees. Hostel provides shuttle to the Main Street until 1130 pm. Guests are added to their WeChat and can contact the front desk for the shuttle pick up as and when needed. There are many restaurants near the Main Street and from there, need to walk about 10-15 min to the ancient town . Hostel room is elegant and spacious with separate living room. Breakfast included bun, noodles, corn… etc. we arrived late to bf and the lady cooked everything after we arrived. While we enjoyed the tranquility of the hotel, the walking distance from the ancient town is also something to consider."

"I previously stayed at a popular guesthouse in the old town. The price was similar to this hotel, but it had no elevator, the room was old, and it was inconvenient to get food with kids and elderly people, as we had to walk a long way. It was so noisy at night that I couldn't sleep at all. 🏨 For the same price, this river-view hotel offered a night of peace and the refreshing scent of a garden – the difference is huge! It's by the river but very quiet, the environment is beautiful, and the hotel is new with excellent facilities. The front desk service was fantastic, always accommodating. The room was clean, tidy, spacious, bright, and fully smart-enabled, making for a convenient experience. They offer parking and charging stations, and parking is free! You can drive directly to the lobby entrance, which is perfect for road trips. Plus, they have a free shuttle service (unlimited rides), which deserves a big thumbs up! The driver was very helpful and assisted with all our luggage. This hidden gem of a hotel absolutely deserves to be known. Highly recommend!"
