This is the best hotel you will get in Rongjiang. I would say the standard of fit out is similar to a Atour hotel for example. However, this is a brand new property and has a lot of gaps and it feels like the hotel is at a pre opening stage rather than a fully opened hotel. The Landry in very small basically only one washing machine and one dryer. But after each wash there was water leaks all over the floor as they have not installed the water pipes properly. The rooms are clean but air con keeps on switching off and you need to keep on changing cold settings to turn it back on. Another annoying thing is the toilet light. Even when turned on the sensors will turn off the light halfway through a shower. So you need to wave the sensor to turn the lights on again. The reception staff are friendly but clearly lack the polished service. I purchase two nights and added to additional night which I paid at the hotel. But the evening staff don’t seem to communicate with the morning shift. I received a call on the third day around lunchtime asking why I didn’t check out when I paid for two extra nights at reception. There is supposed to be a gym but no equipment and the football field below is nice but entrance to the field is not yet setup. Finally, breakfast is very very basic so don’t expect much. Noodles, eggs and a few veggie dishes but quality is quite low.

The stay experience exceeded expectations! All facilities are brand new, the bedding and bathroom supplies are particularly clean, the hygiene is comparable to five-star, highly recommended!

Watch the village football match, stay in a homestay, eat beef tripe, visit the village, and listen to the big song; The room is spacious and bright, about 50 meters away from the village football field. You can hear the sound of the village football match starting when you open the window in the room. You will never miss any game. It is definitely a good place to watch the game.

Rongjiang is very small but the hotel is close to main cun chao soccer field and late night eats will all be there including a new Lurkin Coffee if you need your daily caffeine fix. This is big for Rongjiang to get drinkable coffee. Hotel rooms are clean and room service quite efficient. Lobby is very dirty and needs improvement. Hotel reception staff are also a bit aloof. We booked the hotel for three nights and on the first night can’t get into our room and had to get our room key card cut again as the hotel staff said we need to get our room key cut for each night of stay which I find very strange. She ended up fixing the card but just an inconvenience after a long day and we had to run down again to get a new room key. Lifts were also smelly but it’s a 5 tier city so don’t have too high expectations.
