I wasn't told that WiFi cost extra when I checked in. At checkout, they charged me 40 euros for using it. I had to pay because I was rushing to catch a train and didn't have time to sort it out. It was a really unpleasant and frustrating experience.

Excellent service! We arrived around 11 am and got a room before check-in time, no questions! Wonderful reception space with lounge and restaurant and a nice rooftop bar! The room was in the corner, nice, but a little noisy and cold.

Actually, the hotel staff were quite friendly, the hotel was relatively clean, and the facilities were acceptable; they even provided drinks at the mini-bar upon check-in. The reason for giving such a low score is that I think this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in, bar none. The reason is that I have a mild sleep disorder, and there's a fire alarm above the room door that clicks intermittently every few seconds. During the day, I didn't feel anything amiss, but at night, the clicking sound was utterly deafening; I couldn't sleep well even with earplugs for several nights. I believe a quiet and comfortable environment is essential for a hotel, and for me, this hotel completely lacked this basic function. Furthermore, for people allergic to cats and dogs, this hotel didn't have separate pet rooms, making it unsuitable for them. I was a victim, as it triggered my allergic respiratory asthma.

As a four-star hotel, it's OK and convenient to everywhere. It's a bit small, but it's in Rome.

It was alright. I don't remember exactly, but the food at this restaurant was better than the others I found later.

Actually, I don't write reviews very often, but this time I really have to complain. Although I saw that it had a low score before and I was fully prepared, I still have to complain about this hotel that Chinese people avoid. Let me talk about it one by one. First of all, I have stayed in many hotels under Marriott. Le Méridien is positioned as a business hotel with a main focus on cost-effectiveness. The Le Méridien in Rome costs more than 2,000 a night, but the facilities are comparable to those of 500 in China. The bathroom leaks, and the water overflows as soon as you take a shower. The floor is broken, the ceiling is broken, and the location is so-so. It takes ten minutes to walk by subway, and the minimum number of steps per day is 10,000. Breakfast costs 20 euros. There is nothing to eat. There are a lot of coffee shops around the hotel that offer very good breakfasts for 5 euros. It is not recommended to eat in the hotel. The worst thing is the service attitude. They don't provide water every day. You have to get drinking water yourself after you finish the bottled water. OK, I understand low carbon and energy saving, but the water is boiled without a sound, and there is a layer of white foam and a bleach smell. It would be better to drink it directly without boiling it. It still has a weird taste. It is really difficult to find drinking water outside in Rome. Drinking water in any restaurant is 5 euros. You can only bring water every day. The key is that sometimes they give water and sometimes they don't. You have to be educated when asking the waiter for a bottle of water. He has to tell you that you need to get water yourself. I stayed for 5 days in a row, and they gave me water for 3 days and didn't give me water for 2 days. The most exaggerated thing was that on the day of check-out, there were 5 minutes before 12 o'clock and the waiter opened the door and came in directly. It was really speechless. The key is that it is obviously targeting Chinese people. I think the attitude towards white people is quite good.
