We rented a hotel for 2 nights, they gave us a spacious but old room, the air conditioning didn’t work, we waited for about an hour and it didn’t work, we went to the front desk 3-4 times, the last time they already agreed to change our room. The second room was good. But there are not many amenities, for example, napkins, water, slippers, etc. But overall, it’s enough to spend the night. But I don’t recommend living there for a long time

Horrible and rude. Stay away. Miserable front desk, hot and dirty place. Says family owned, not sure where family was but they weren’t onsite with people behaving like this. Find another place to stay, why make your trip to Rome a frustrating one.

I dont understand the negative reviews regarding this hotel. No it is not the Ritz but is clean, spacious and a wonderful, kind and helpful staff. It was our 50th wedding anniversary and upon arriving there was champagne and 2 glasses cooling on ice for us such a lovely surprise not at all expected We appreciated such a kind and thoughtful surprise. The hotel itself is very well located making it easy to explore this beautiful city. We are enjoying our stay at this little jewel of a hotel.

A short walk to Trevi fountain and A little further to Spanish steps. Plenty of lovely restaurants and bars around hotel area. Lovely cafe on corner for buffet breakfast at €12. Room was modern, very comfortable and clean with a lovely bathroom. Originally, we booked into a different hotel but after a 1 night stay there we made the decision to move here to this lovely hotel. The lady at reception was extremely professional and polite, dealing with our requests efficiently. Thank you for a wonderful stay and if we return to Rome, we would definitely stay here again.

I stayed with my partner and 17 year old Daughter. Due to an error at booking (with Thomas Cook) we were allocated a tiny room and had to pay an additional €150 on arrival to get the room we were expecting - a superior triple - which was excellent and spotlessly clean. There are no tea/coffee making facilities and no iron provided. The location is great, very quiet at night and only a few minutes walk to Trevi fountain and some great restaurants. We booked breakfast which was really disappointing, only croissants and yoghurt. There's a great little café at the bottom of the road offering a lovely breakfast for €10pp.

This hotel is located in the historic part of the city and very central to most of the major attractions. We were as close as a 5 minute walk to the Trevi fountain and about 40 minutes to the Vatican. Sections of the hotel are undergoing renovations so you are most likely to be allocated a room in the unrenovated section of the hotel. The rooms are spacious for this class of hotel and bathrooms are very clean. Wifi works great but the TV can be spotty since it is satellite and offers almost exclusively Italian content. while the bathroom amenities are adequate, bring your own soap, shampoo and toilet paper if you want a more comfortable stay. The walls and doors of the rooms sound paper thin so try for a room away from the street side and elevator. Our air conditioning failed on our second night and we requested a change whereupon we were place in a newer renovated room. It was the same layout but everything was newer and the AC worked perfectly. The only downside was the street noise die to the cobblestone road. The hotel seems to be owned and operated by an elderly couple and the staff were helpful in varying degrees depending upon their expertise in English. Federica was exceptionally friendly, helpful and anticipated all of our needs. A lovely girl. The roof top breakfast area was beautiful and the cold continental breakfast offering was nice. The coffee in its various forms was provided by a push button machine and quite adequate. Cereal, milk, bread for toast, yogurt, pastries including croissants were offered and the only protein available was hard boiled eggs. The room had a mini-bar refrigerator (empty) so you could store water, drinks or anything you needed to keep cool. There is a supermarket a block away.

Hotel de petris The rooms look great and are in decent sizes. Mediocre WiFi. Breakfast from 8am-10am, although there is a small variety of food. Now to my favorite thing… to diss. The bathroom. First time i went to take a fat doo doo, it was alright. Until the flushing. The flushing is so weak and wont flush the paper down. Now you may ask me: «Why dont you throw the toilet paper in the garbage can?». Well because it didn’t have a bag. The second time i went to take a doo doo, it was even worse. I flushed and there was so much paper left. I want to say sorry to the next visitors of this room, since you might observe floating toilet paper with doo doo on it, and i am damn sure the maids wont pick that up💀, neither will i💀💀💀. But, lets get to the shower, which is right besides the toilet. The shower only has curtains so you will probably soak the entire bathroom and also shower in a very tight spot. Yes, the curtains were absolute horrendous, they were too close and that stuck on my back and i thought i was about to lose my virginity for a second. The rooms have air conditioning and enough electrical outlets. The hotel is also located near the Trevi Fountain, which has many visitors. The price is decent for it’s value. 3/5 - Not bad but not great

Overall an average hotel to stay in. We've stayed in a few hotels some in Rome, some in spain, ireland etc. This one had plenty of character, most hotels in Rome do to be fair. Room was clean, had A/C which worked, Lift was fairly new externally installed, older one inside full of character. Staff were lovely, gentleman who i presume owned the hotel was always chatty at breakfast very very nice guy. Not much to offer for breakfast (we're irish) continental style breakfast of buns, crossants, toast, yoghurt etc. All lovely thou and refreshing light and managable. Would visit again as it's close to all the attractions, 5minute walk to the Trevi, Spanish stpes, about 15mins to the Piazza Navona. Spectacular vies from the rooftop breakfast terrace.

The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Rome. The room was small and simple but clean. The lady at reception was friendly. The hotel I originally booked had a technical problem that meant we could not stay there, they had booked a room at hotel De Petris as a replacement. An ordinary standard hotel without more.
