Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|1.99km from Colosseum
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

Maximus resident was wonderfull. We booked a room and thr address was another building. It took us a long time to find the office because the address on the booking was different than the office. When we found the office, they gave us a room with 57 stair steps and no view and no lift. After complaining, thr switched us to another building and great place with kitchen and 10 star view of the collocium. We were very happy. Very great place. I would give 10 star if I could.

I spent two days in this building that is directly on the Colosseum. Very clean and ordered room with all the comforts needed, besides the total exit and input autonomy that has proven a very comfortable and practical added value. Exquisite and available owners. Recommended!!! If you wanted to find a sin .... The breakfast I recommend not to buy with the room. The bar under the structure does not shine for sympathy and service: the breakfast included in the package was told me that it included only a cap / coffee / milk with a bricks. My daughter asked instead of the brioche a toast and I was asked for the payment separately .... Let's say that maybe you don't do .... Also to serve a toast they took us more than 20 minutes at 9.30 of a holiday day .... I will certainly return to the building, but not to the bar!

The landscape and the location are good. I don’t think it’s good to look at the arena in bed. The service is very good, the room is clean and there should be, because it is not satisfied with another one temporarily set up in the Roman arena, so that the whole Rome travel mood is getting better. Ctrip price is about 400 cheaper than booking, which is also amazing. The sofa bed is very comfortable and the two dolls like it. There should be no parking lot, many taxis at the entrance to the city center to go to the sights are walking distance

The hotel is very close to the Colosseum. You can see the Colosseum when you open the window. There are several restaurants downstairs and the location is very good. The front desk was very friendly and let me check in when a room was already available when we arrived early. The only drawback is that there is no elevator and it is on the third floor, but we don't have much luggage. The room we booked was cheaper, probably because the bathroom was outside the house but it was for our own use. There was also a guest room next to it that had its own bathroom and we would not use it together.

This hotel is absolutely ideal! It was our first break away with our baby girl, and we were very nervous about the logistics of Rome and a young baby at first! The hotel however cannot be faulted. The communication is fantastic before and during your stay, all staff are extremely friendly - especially to our baby girl which was lovely. We got engaged on our trip (on the buildings private rooftop terrace which guests get a key to!), and a friend from home contacted the hotel to send a bottle of champagne to our room which was such a lovely touch - considering the hotel is extremely small and doesn’t have it’s own bar etc, the staff would have had to go out of their way to purchase the champagne and put it in our room - thank you so so much!! You are a stones throw from the Colosseum, and you can easily walk to every where else if you have good shoes on - we did it with a pram so it’s definitely doable! A memorable stay in a comfortable, safe, clean and welcoming hotel. Thank you so much.

Had to book this at the last minute after an AirBnB cancelled on me. Although it is promoted as a LBGQT hotel there were straight families with children and straight couples there. The staff was extremely friendly the rooms ultra clean and large. Our street facing room had a small balcony but was very quite both during the day and night. Unlike some reviews I read, there was not a single photo or piece of artwork depicting any romantic encounters between individuals of any sex - so those reviews were either untrue or the hotel removed the offending pieces. I would feel fine taking my minor children here. Super great location and view. Within about a block of the Colosseo metro station and bus stop. Multiple restaurants just outside the door of the hotel. The only thing travelers need to be aware of is that there is no elevator in this (or most) buildings in Rome, so luggage will need to be carried upstairs. Also, for American travelers, the name ”2nd Floor” is somewhat of a misnomer. It seems in Italy the ground floor is floor 0, not floor 1 like in America. So the 2nd Floor is what an American would consider the 3rd floor. I would certainly stay again.
