Very expensive. Although it is set aside (in Alad) it does not give any competitive advantage. The food is very expensive and the Island Hopping also compared to Romblon. We thought that being there we would have some extra service but it is not so.

Remarkable dive experience with their professional crew. Just tell them your expectations and they will bring you to where these Romblon special creatures are without failure. They will also help you to take great marco pictures that will make your diving even more memorable.

Excellent scuba guides for experienced photographers. Rooms with extra tables, good air conditioning and plugs for cameras. Friendly staff, modern resort. Would recommend and personally return. Starlink internet is fast and reliable.

An amazing resort in Romblon. Charo and her team have a very special place to welcome guests who want to relax and also see the best of the Philippines. Everything was taken care of, food was excellent, rooms spacey and clean. Went on two dives with a combined island visit to Bon Bon beach - couldn't have been better. Highly recommend.

We spent 5 nights at Sunset Cove Resort. Overall I rate this place as 8/10. The Island of Romblon can be reached by ferry from Roxas on Palawan Island (flights to Roxas come direct from Manila), or by ferry from Batangus which is on the mainland. Another option is to fly from Manila to Tablas island (flights are approx 2-3 times a week), but the you need to find transport including another ferry from Tablas so you can get to Romblon. The resort is located on Alad Island which is about 40mins from Romblon town bypp Banker boat. Banker boat is the traditional boat used by Pinoy for moving between islands and fishing etc. The cost ranges per person depending on time of day from 800Pesos ($21AUD) at night to around 30pesos ($1AUD) during the day. At night it must be arranged with a private person and this can be organised through the resort. During the day you just turn up at the departure location at the scheduled time and pay the captain once you arrive at the destination. This is a regular run twice a day and you will share the ride with locals. Just ask Charo or one of the other helpful staff at the resort to tellnyou when and where. A good tip....the motor boats are loud so bring earplugs if thats a problem for you.The resort is very appealing to the eye with a tropical feel and inviting pool out front. The rooms look out to the sea but the view from the rooms is mostly blocked by trees. There is seating around the pool offering a relaxing atmosphere. The island is peaceful with no loud music, barking dogs or motorcycles constantly buzzing around. The occasional motor boat coming and going is about the only artificial noise you will hear. Meals are usually fixed menu with only a few options but when the resort has low numbers of guests the staff will allow you to choose from a bigger menu. Food is delicious and they have a selection of local dishes to choose from but I found some meal portions to be a little small keeping in mind i am a 100kg Aussie with a big appetite. Apples, mangos and bananas were the only fruit available when we were there but they are happy to cut you a coconut from the local garden for 120pesos or ($3.20 AUD). Rooms present clean and spacious with excellent aircon and firm beds but no complimentary tea and coffee in the rooms. You may need to ask for extra bedding as there was only a single sheet supplied when we arrived. Water at the resort is brackish drawn from a local bore and gravity fed to the taps so the shower is low pressure which also means the bidet hose is pretty much useless. Don't drink the water. When we arrived there was no toilet paper and the floor was sandy which was unexpected but the staff were onto it, cleaning the floors and providing everything we needed at the drop of a hat. Rooms are not serviced daily unless you ask. We Scuba dived in 6 different locations over 3 days and can report that the dives rate a 7/10 for my preferences. Locations included Cobradore Turtle Sanctuary and Twin Rocks, Bon

The diving experience was very good for several reasons: The Dive Master, Ms.Cha, was professional and very informative. She made sure that the experience would be both safe and enjoyable. I’ve learned a lot of diving tips from her. The diving gear and mask were so comfortable - no panic attacks. Dive plan was well thought of. The colorful creatures and soft corals under the sea were amazing. For a newbie like me, she’s a perfect instructor ☺️ will definitely be back for more 😊

We spent wonderful 4 days at this resort! Thank you Charo and your team for your hospitality and tasty meals! We had 2 rooms, both were spacious and nicely decorated. We had entire place all to ourselves! Foods were prepared freshly and we were offered a good selection of dishes. Swimming pool is really nice. Beach in front of the resort is good for snorkeling, corals are live and untouched by humans. We were the only tourists on the whole island. I highly recommend this place for those looking for piece and like to stay away from the crowds!

-> Amazing, friendly and humorous team! The service was great! -> AMAZING food (props to the cook!) & accommodation (Wifi connection could be a bit better in room 5 ^^ Otherwise the room was amazing!) -> As I was working 2 hours in the morning and 4 in the evening (volunteering) in between I had a lot of free time - On this island you can relax at the resort/pool, walk around (the island is not super big though, so you will have seen probably most of it after a couple of days) or relax at the beach (they are just filled with boats most of the time, which was not very inviting for me), so I stayed, read books, took the time to organize my next travels, watched movies/series and relaxed at the pool/my room -> You can do diving with the resort - which is really nice and also the boat crew is amazing! -> On the weekend you can explore Romblon. it‘s easy and cheap to get there and they have beaches and a little town to explore ☺️
