Cold air coming under entry door of room. Cold in room when heat wasn't going. Stayed one night due to my sister get out of hospital earlier. Booked for 2 nights and can't get refunded for the night I DIDN'T STAY. Would recommend staying at a better hotel.

I’ve stayed here dozens of times. This stay we had no heat in our room. At checkout I told the front desk he should have maintenance check our room heater. I had a picture of the thermostat and showed him the air temp in the room was a chilly 62 degrees. He responded by saying they had turned off the boilers yesterday because it was warm outside. I told him that was ridiculous and wondered why they were not turned on again for the night. When I told him we woke in the middle of the night and we were cold, he simply stated we should have called the front desk and they would have brought us a space heater. I told him that’s ridiculous and 62-63 degrees is unacceptable. He offered no other solution, apology, or a credit of any sort. This is very disappointing as most of my other stays here were just fine.

Very good location near St Mary hospital and clean and large room, but the breakfast was too small and not enough.

The room is not small, but the window faces the corridor, so you have to draw the thin curtains during the day. But it is not far from Mayo's two campuses (St. Mary hospital and Methodist hospital), and there are shuttles to the two campuses, which is very convenient.

The Aspen Select appears to be the more average version of the fancier Aspen Suites, which is right next door. Both are directly across the street from St. Mary’s Hospital, which is very convenient. The front desk staff were pleasant, and there is a nice variety for breakfast. What I did not like is that it was very warm on my floor (3rd) and in my room, in mid November. My room stayed at 77° the whole time I was there, which made sleeping difficult, and I think the hallway had to be 85. There was a thermostat in my room, but it was turned to 69°. I inquired at the desk about it and was told they could give me a fan, but they had no way of controlling it because it was a boiler heating system. Other than that, my room was comfortable and clean.

The climate control was set to heat only for the winter months, but it was so warm in the room (75 with the system off) that we were quite uncomfortable. In fact, my wife didn't sleep at all and I was waking up constantly. In addition, the curtains didn’t keep the exterior hall light out so it was and it was quite bright

Not really a breakfast, gas station muffins and a little fruit. rooms are a bit dated but comfortable. something in the Hallway on the 5th floor was making a pretty loud noise. It seems like the photos used are from the next door Aspen Suites and not the Aspen Select
