I had a great stay at Hotel Atlântico Rio! They kindly allowed me to check in a few hours early, which made a big difference after a long journey. The staff were warm, helpful, and professional throughout my visit. The breakfast was fresh and satisfying, with plenty of options to start the day right. One of the best parts is the location — just a short walk to Copacabana Beach, perfect for catching the sunrise. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Rio.

The room lacked basic amenities — no duvet or blanket, broken toilet, no hot water, and a phone that didn’t work. The WiFi and TV barely functioned, the ceiling was under construction, and the room had no view with a window that opened only a sliver. The door also locked itself and the key card stopped working.
The hotel was overcrowded — there was no space to enjoy the pool, and breakfast was a letdown with no vegan options at all. Add to that loud construction noise for long periods and this stay felt more stressful than relaxing. Definitely not worth the price or the stars.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the B&B Hotel. We were warmly welcomed with a drink and excellent hospitality from the staff. Our room was very clean, although as the building is undergoing renovations, there are still a few details that will be improved, but nothing that detracted from our stay. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, with many fruit options. I highly recommend it!

The hotel is quite nice, very close to the beach and right next to the police station, just in case. There are many places to shop nearby, and the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon are also quite close.
The only issue was that the room I stayed in smelled strongly of damp, but overall it was quite good. I hope they can improve this.

Five stars because that's the highest I can give! The hotel service was absolutely fantastic! We had already checked out in the morning, but our flight wasn't until the evening, and when we went back for our luggage in the afternoon, they even gave us 30 minutes to shower! The staff proactively helped us arrange transportation and were incredibly enthusiastic! The hotel also offered sea views, and I even witnessed a stunning 'fiery sky' (red clouds) in the morning! A truly wonderful experience!

A good hotel in the center of the Copacabana district. Nearby are cafes, shops, and bus stops, providing easy access to the Botanical Garden and Corcovado. The breakfast is very good (omelettes, sausages, bacon, ham, cheese, lots of sweets and fruit). It's a 30-minute taxi ride from Galeão Airport.

Excellent value for money. I saw a lot of negative reviews and was shocked because my experience couldn't have been better. Overall, the service was good and the staff was very helpful.
Breakfast was 6/10, but at least the menu was changed every day - the juice could be better.
The room was small but cozy. It had an incredible view of Christ the Redeemer that we fell in love with. Hot and cold water, intense and soft for all tastes. However, the blanket/duvet needs improvement, it's not enough for a couple and the material is not comfortable, and the TV didn't work properly (although we didn't even use it). 8/10.
The cleaning didn't leave anything to be desired, the hallways always smelled nice, although the hallway on my floor was very hot. The service at the reception was quick and straightforward. Everyone was very polite. 9/10.

The hotel has a nice location on the beach, but the property could do with some updates.
The first room I went into had a funny smell, so I reported it to reception. The male receptionist looked at me, and as if he doubted my word
After I insisted, he assigned me a new room, but it was left to me to move my luggage. . No support was offered and I couldn’t be bothered to ask.
I did ask if there would be any complimentary water put in the room. He said he would get housekeeping to put some water, but I’m still waiting two days later.
Power outlets in the room are limited and not designed for modern travel. No USB points.
The TV is old and not smart or Internet connected. There are no cable channels so nearly all of the channels are local language apart from one CNN news channel in English..
The hotel is quite noisy and dogs. The walls are thin and guests scrape furniture across the marble floors. This is relatively easy to remedy if the hotel cared.
The rooftop pool was disappointing as it’s quite small and normally full of kids.
The restaurant is closed after breakfast. There is a bar, but it’s never open..
The biggest problem I had was the Internet. It did not work properly in my room and kept cutting out every few minutes. I had to stand in the corridor or come down to the lobby in order to get any decent coverage. I complained to the staff, but they did nothing and just told me it works.. This was extremely frustrating and I certainly wouldn’t come back to this hotel again.

GGuest UserTo be honest, the impression of the hotel is twofold. On the one hand, it is an exclusive hotel, on the other hand, there were so many people that I did not feel exclusivity. You can't push through the pool. For some reason, in order to get to the pool and the beautiful view, you need to ask the hostess (who, of course, ask with a menacing look if you have a reservation and that there are no places) and you stand behind a red rope that blocks your way. I was not very pleased with this. Perhaps this excludes a super big crush, but the effect itself that they are blocking my way for my money is not pleasant.
A very interesting mattress, more like a feather bed. Soft, comfortable. The room is very, very dark - I did not like this either.
It is very interesting that at breakfast nowhere is it offered (no picture/message, the waiters do not say) that you can order waffles, avocado toast, or something else. Why is this kept a secret? Why should I, upon accidentally seeing waffles on another table, ask: where can I find waffles?.. I don’t understand.

WWinnieThe location is excellent, surrounded by hotels and restaurants. Across the street is the endless ocean and a beach bustling with people playing ball and running early every morning. It's very convenient to all the attractions! Of course, a sea view room would be much more comfortable. The sunrises are beautiful every day. Although you can't see east, they're still beautiful. The interior view rooms have a small balcony, but it can feel a bit cramped. Beach slippers are provided and can be taken away and reused.

GGuest UserGreat hotel with a luxurious view of the most famous beach.
Yes, there are some minor issues, like sometimes having to wait 7 minutes for an elevator, but I don't consider that a problem. It's a 30-story hotel with 6 elevators and many rooms, so you can imagine.
The breakfasts are a bit repetitive and could be improved, but they do have fresh orange juice, which is a nice touch.
There aren't always enough hotel umbrellas and chairs on the beach, but I don't see that as critical either.
The bed was good, and I slept excellently!
My birthday fell during my stay, and the hotel gave me a lovely surprise! Thank you! I'll definitely be back.

GGuest UserExcellent service, highlighting Bruno's cordiality. Great breakfast, good service at the cafe too. Room strongly matches the photos. Comfortable bed. Air conditioning off. Apparently the room facing the pool is not soundproofed but the noise was not bothersome.

LLatifI was there for a business event. Wifi connection at the hotel is horrible. it requires you to login in each time you use and logs you off automatically. the hotel was quite cold as it as off season. they did not have any kind of heating, they only offered blankets. I needed to call receptions a few times for iron and board and if you keep the iron and board more than 1 hour, they charge you for it which is insane. they also charge you for the water inside of the room which I did not like at all.

MMarcus Vinicius de Barcelos MafraWell-located hotel. Good amenities in the room. Clean and airy. Full air conditioning. Tasty breakfast. Reception staff a little skittish, especially the blonde. We called reception and they made a point of being rude. On the last day, even though I had paid, they canceled my reservation and kicked me out, in addition to having the nerve to buy me shampoo refills. Everyone was very judgmental. They judged me by my clothes. It turns out that I chose the worst ones. And they didn't disappoint me regarding what they thought they would be. I'm a psychiatrist and I don't need to say how much I earn. But I can assure you that it's over 18 times the minimum wage. They are elitists and the older gentleman, in addition to the old blonde maid with light eyes, carry
