Newport Wales (M4, J24)

Paper thin walls and a ceiling that bounces when the people above walk around. 2am fire alarm which the receptionist didn’t seem to know what to do. Doors slamming and people talking in the main corridor through the night. Fair to say that I had very little sleep and will never ever stay here again.

We paid £40 in advance for breakfast: but no time slots were available in the mornings during our 2 days at the hotel. We did not have hot water the second morning. We were very disappointed about all that!

Avoid this hotel at all cost. Our journey didn't take as long as anticipated so we arrived earlier that the 3 o'clock check in. We asked if we could check-in early to be told yes if we paid an extra £10 which we didn't, when we did get our room it was freezing. We turned the heating up but it automatically switches off after so long, when we left to go for food and come back to the room It was freezing again.The free WiFi is useless even for social media its useless, I paid an extra £5 for the hotels "ultimate WiFi and that didn't work at all and was told I would need to contact the people who I paid for the WiFi which was the hotel. No heating in the bathroom also freezing when taking a shower. Evening meal was poor staff couldn't get a simple food order right, the breakfast was the only positive from our two night stay. Back to staying at the New Inn I think.

perfect room as always, so clean and comfy. Lovely bathroom and layout, brilliant tv and a good size. The pillows are lovely but a little big/puffy for me, I'd rather have some flatter ones as I get neck ache when they are too deep/firm, maybe a spare thinner one as an option would be helpful but otherwise it was perfect!

Stayed in many expensive hotels over the years booked this cheap one as only wanted it for night was amazed it was one of the best hotels we have stayed in clean quite friendly just needed a fridge and it wouod have been perfect in every way

Had an absolutely lovely experience, my friends and I spent the night in January. Lovely atmosphere and a very spacious room. Food was amazing and staff were so friendly especially Tara who was extremely helpful. Would 100% stay here again.

Newport Premier inn, stayed during January. Staff were so friendly! Thank you Tara for being so helpful during my stay. Food was fantastic and the room was very clean and spacious. Was also cleaned daily when I left. Would also like to thank Jess for being so kind and welcoming.

Arrived at this hotel on the 30th September and was given room number 28. After inspection of the room we quickly realised the place smelt of strong damp. Looking in the corners of the room there was mould spores. The whole room smelt like two day old washing left in the washing machine. My wife refused to stay in this room. I went to reception and told them the room was unacceptable. I was told the hotel was fully booked and there was no other room. I made it clear that I suffered from asthma And I could not stay in this room or I may bring on an asthma attack still I was told there was no other room and there was no manager so I handed in the keys even though we was booked for two nights stay and found myself another hotel which was best western, which was far more superior. This Premier Inn was showing signs of water ingress externally which looks as though it’s coming from the guttering or roof as all the walls externally were very damp and had substantial amount of brick salt .Upon this experience, I will not be choosing Premier Inn in a hurry.
