Muriances

Far far from Unquera town, has got no food services but breakfast, no sodas or snacks; not even a vending machine. Cobwebs all around and not even a front desk. Would seem that it is the go to place when nothing else is available at Unquera. Kitchen facilities, living room, large rooms and even a bunk bed,,, if arriving there with a car, it would be a fair place, but after walking 25km, and finding out you need to go an additiomal 2km to get there, no food, no ice or cold drinks, it is a nuisance. @santiagoways should be more careful when picking places for customers…

Staying here was a very special experience. It is an old flour factory converted over time into lodging for travelers. It is run by Alba, the daughter of Isabel, who started this in the early 2000s. Staying there we were able to meet both women. Strong, smart, caring individuals. Me encanto la experiencia aquí en Muriances. The room where we were was small, but nicely appointed. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The view into the mountains spectacular. Alba gave us a ride into town so we could get some dinner. She also hosted a magnificent breakfast with rolls, cakes, fruit, macedonia fruit cocktail, eggs, sausage, yogurt and more. It was just simply a loving and culturally-infused experience. We loved it. Important to note this is a small outfit so it’s all run by Alba with a male helper in the day time. It’s not a fancy hotel. But you will be very well care for if you are open to this. A very special experience!
