Lydia Hotel

The location is very good and in a central place. Very close to Elli Beach in the city centre, Old Town and city bus stop. The staff is very courteous and helpful. The room is big enough. It has a large wardrobe and drawers on either side of the beds. You can fit your belongings comfortably. Sheets and towels are clean. Balcony is also sufficient. While most hotels' showers are only curtained, here's a shower cabin. The breakfast options are more than enough. The bar part looked nice but we didn't hang out there. There are already markets, bars, etc. around. There is also a pharmacy right next to it. By the way, they also help with renting a car. I definitely recommend it.

DO NOT GO HERE Firstly I need to mention that I am one of the ones that take bad reviews with a pinch of salt but on this occasion I regret this!! When we arrived at 1am we were told there was no room for us and we had to stay at a hotel over the road, no apologies and they basically said it happens so get over it, the hotel room we had for the night was tiny with no air con, we’re told to come back for breakfast and room will be ready at 7.30am so that’s what we did. The morning receptionist was a women and oh my god she was so rude, the room wasn’t ready until 11am in the end she slowly walked us to the 2 flights of steps and pointed saying up there, I was with my two young children one disabled, I asked for help with suitcases and she shrugged her shoulders and went back to reception. The room, well considering the photo they use for advertising is a lovely fresh room, this is misadvertising, there is only a handful of refurbished double rooms only. The rooms are the most basic rooms iv ever seen, the shower room is basically a partitioned section of room with a shed like door. The rooms are not clean and even when we were there for 11 nights we had 1 sheet change and 1 towel change. Never cleaned. The rooms are invested with ants and we were all bit all over every night. There is big gaps around doors so mosquitos get in easily. FOOD- we are not fussy eaters and this food is horrendous, the staff regularly eat off the buffet with one night the chef walked off eating the last of the flatbreads with an hour to go until service finished. They did not care when we complained. No children’s food options. The plastic cups are plastic and dirty, desserts consists of jelly and ice cream and watermelon that’s it. DRINKS - only beer and wine is included in all inclusive and nasty cheap fizzy drinks. There is no snack bar, so breakfast 7-10 lunch 12.30-14 dinner 19 - 21.- there is no food inbetween these times apart from a glass jar on the bar with dried biscuits. All staff are very rude and clearly hate working there, a few of the cleaners are lovely and friendly. The pool area is a small pool that we never saw being cleaned once’s, the water is cloudy surrounded by broken tiles and about 10 sunbeds which are nearly all broke. The pool area is never cleaned or tidied up so rubbish is all scattered around, it is swarming in ants also. The beach is beautiful and the best but about this hotel, but impossible to get sunbeds I refused to get up at 5am just to get sunbeds on beach. Entertainment is not too bad, but very basic and not on every night. Drink ate until 10pm only. To top off this holiday on our last day fires spread to this resort and we were with out electrify and drinks and food and water, the female receptionist offered no help or support when we were all trying to flee the hotel for safety, no water or refreshments were offered

We spent the first week of September and we were very good. The hotel is in a quiet location, next to the Museum of Modern Art and two steps from Elli Beach. Our room, viewed by sea, was really comfortable, with a balcony with a chair (with a chair), and the bathroom, compared with microscopic, but functional for a shower and a walk. At every floor there is a fresh water distributor (in the room there is a special carpet to fill) or hot if you want to prepare a tea or tea. The young and dynamic staff of the hotel are very kind: the girls at the reception are empathical, efficient, sympathetic, proactive (it has provided us with practical ideas on things to do and try, suggestions on places to visit and when, etc.). The ladies of the cleaning are also very kind: my husband had fever for a few days and changed towels and towels every day, even if the change was planned every two days. The hotel offers seabeds and, for those who have the late flight, the floor -1 has showers and bathrooms available. Some mornings we stopped for breakfast (delightful) in their gastropub that also works for a quick lunch (good Rhodian Taste salad), then becomes pub with cocktail (one is offered by the hotel), Drink and snack (to try the Rodense pit with the three sauces). Last but not least, a nice express coffee, certainly the best ever drinked abroad. At the first floor, the hotel also has a co-working space for anyone who needs it. It is a hotel we strongly recommend.

This hotel is located literally a two minute walk from the beach, with bars and restaurants and It’s about a 15 minute walk to the port and old town.Wr stayed for 4 nights and I can honestly say it was a great find and we were so glad we stayed here. Can’t fault the staff both on reception and maids or the cleanliness of the hotel throughout.Rooms were quite small for a family but we only slept there and we had a decent size balcony which included table snd chairs and an airer for our clothes which was very useful. The rooms had free air con which worked fine and kept us cool at night.you just leave your key in the switch when you enter the room and it turns on.Also if you close and lock the patio door it automatically comes on.We found the beds very comfy and would have been changed, along with towels, every 3 days.which was fine for us.The pool was lovely and clean as was around the pool area.Sunbeds we’re always taken quite early though,so need to get one fast if wanting a pool day.We we’re given free towels to use for the pool and had to pay 5 euros refundable deposit if taking them to the beach. We didn’t eat or drink at this hotel so can’t comment about that.We can not fault this hotel and were so pleased we stayed here. After a two year wait to travel and having to change bookings several times,we were not disappointed.

Residence generally successful. At this price hotel, room, food - adequate. Repeatable food. Breakfast and dinner are actually always the same. Some dishes to choose from. Lunch weakest, best dinners :) Meals during the pandemic period served by the service. Snacks at the pool are weak, only cookies and chocolate cake. There are also ice creams, but their taste and quality are poor. After lunch, sometimes sandwiches at the pool. For drinking gasified drinks. Juices only for breakfast, sometimes at the pool in the morning are available. Bottle-paid 2euro. Besides coffee, tea, beer. The room was not cleaned during the pandemic period, but you can report your desire in the reception to clean it. Only baskets Empty every day. WiFi and air conditioning additionally paid. Room for families with children has a floor bed. Furniture are new. I just didn't like the fact that the air conditioning was placed just above the floor bed, which caused the wind to the older daughter. We had to reduce the use of air conditioning by this, and it was very hot, nights 28 degrees. The location of the hotel is far from the center, so it is necessary to rent a car best for most of your stay. There is no place to walk in the evening, because it is only moving street, no restaurants, cafes or bars. There are two beaches nearby. One smaller is quite close to about 400m and the other is larger approx 1.3km from the hotel. You have to go by the busy street and pass through it, which is not always easy. Just next to the hotel there is a market, low prices. The service in the hotel is very nice, smiley. They try. One particular lady who serves meals is nice :) The Greeks are also very nice throughout the island. Hotel as a base for a tour is very cool and cheap. In the evening drinks are also good, contain alcohol in the normal amount ;) but available in all option only to 22.30. Then payable. The pool is clean but the water is quite cold. In the sea much warmer :) We were with daughters of 13 and 3.5 year. Everyone is pleased, although for young children there is only a slide, two swingers and a paddle. But there's really nothing to complain about at that price. We recommend.

From the moment of our arrival to the moment of our departure, the staff were always on hand to provide excellent service and hospitality. We arrived quite late in the night and were immediately met with warm welcomes and plates of food saved for our arrival. From the get go the staff were on hand to ensure our first visits to Rhodes would be memorable ones. The next day we ventured down to the all-inclusive restaurant above the the bar and reception area and were delighted to find a range of hot and cold breakfast foods, coffees and soft drinks. Afterwards we made our way to the pool and spent the day sunbathing; the poolside bar providing alcoholic and soft drinks as well as local pastries for guests to indulge in. Lunch and dinner were again always great and we were provided with an array of fresh local dishes and as much Greek salad as you could eat! The local area provides all one could need for a visit to the peaceful Rhodian countryside. Spectacular view of the nearby island of Symi and the Turkish mainland as well as all the shops, bars and restaurants you could need. A nearby bus stop also took passengers to Rhodes town and other destinations for as little as €3 each one way. I would highly recommend this hotel to any families, couples or friends looking for a quiet getaway in the quintessential Greek countryside and I hope to return again some day soon!
