4 Star Hotels in Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our Rhine River Valley tour and it was excellent. Parking is right there on site, checkin was a breeze, and the location is pretty much 10 minutes from everywhere in Rudesheim. The breakfast is included and they have a full spread and made-to-order omelettes. Room was great looking west with views up the ridge over the wineries to the monument. So much to do in Rudesheim and a great place to stay.

The hotel is very stylishly designed and there is always free drinking water. The staff is friendly and the prices are not excessive. However, the food, whether breakfast or dinner, is really poor. Well, the hotel wasn't really fully booked, so they certainly don't serve everything, but when I read other reviews, it seems that it is no different when the hotel is full. There are simply no alternatives in the immediate area.

We recently returned from two nights in a superior double room at the Hotel Kronenschlosschen. Having escaped from a really poor hotel elsewhere, this place felt like heaven, particularly as we sampled the food first. That lunch, on the terrace overlooking the glorious garden, convinced us that this was the hotel for us and luckily they had space. What they forgot to tell us was that they had two wedding receptions on the Saturday night and because of staff issues could not carry out ordinary restaurant service. However, wonderfully, we were able to eat from the menu of one of the weddings and outstandingly tasty and attractively presented that food was. We expected a lot of noise from the parties (as per an English wedding) but both were restrained events that allowed us to sleep peacefully. Our room, 25 on the second floor, was charming, comfortable and most importantly and unlike our previous hotel, had a fan, making sleep possible. No A/C because of the age of the building, which was in itself a lovely feature, particularly the carved wooden staircase (no lift). My husband particularly enjoyed the 'Olympic quantity' of sherry supplied and re-filled in our room. All staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and charming, speaking excellent English. Apart from lack of air conditioning, the only other downside to this lovely hotel is the main road running alongside. We could hear the swish of traffic at night with windows open but it did not disturb us. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

The family room has two rooms, the bed in one room is shorter and the bed is soft. No toothbrush combs are the same as in China. This type of room has no air conditioning on the top floor, only a fan, it is quite stuffy. The hotel is very close to the pier and the central square. Not far from the train station. Breakfast is not bad! Recommended!

Very friendly welcome, staff in the restaurant were also very friendly. The wellness area is very nice and spacious, although we only used the pool (small, but it was enough for the child :-)). Breakfast is very extensive with everything your heart desires. We used the restaurant once, everything was very nice here and the food was very good. We'll definitely come back when we're nearby (which will be very soon). Location is just outside Wiesbaden, you can't do anything there within walking distance. If you're only traveling by car anyway, that's okay.

5 lady friends and I stayed at this quaint establishment for 6 nights. We had 3 rooms, each with its own character & charm. Jessica and her husband {proprietors} were simple the very best. Spoke English better than some Americans. Helped us with any need we asked about, from restaurants, reservations, where to find a self service laundry, bank, on & on. We were able to purchase tickets for many nearby attractions, boat tours, cable car, right at the front desk and have the cost go directly on our bill, so easy. Breakfast was well stocked, staff made sure we were happy, on the spot for coffee refills, need more eggs? Etc. Our departure was early in the am , since we had asked for daily breakfast, sandwiches, apples & bottled waters were made available to us for our ride to the airport. The beds and pillows were perfect, we all slept so well. Happy the morning buffet lasted until 11am, able to sleep late or take our time getting ready for the day! This was my second stay at this hotel , and it won’t be my last! Wunderbar experience each time!!!
