"The hotel and the rooms are absolutely beautiful, tidy, clean and comfortable. The amenities offered in the room smelled amazing! Also, an amazing service by the very friendly and solicit staff, and their breakfast was delicious! They also offered bikes for the guests to use. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend it!"

"My parents liked the rural-style, yet rustic look. The swimming pool was clean and the room condition was satisfactory for the price. However, even though it was well past the check-in time, the room was not cleaned, so my parents had to wait for an hour without being able to eat, and they behaved somewhat incomprehensibly, such as asking to exchange the old dollars that someone else had paid for new bills. In the first place, they took other guests' old bills. I'm not a bank, so why are they asking me to exchange it? Other than that, everything was good."

"Great service. I booked a Mekong Suite for two nights. I didn't sleep well on the first night because of mosquitoes and the road. The next day, the supervisor changed us to a duplex and used strong mosquito repellent, which solved all the problems perfectly. I personally think the Victoria Suite is better than the Mekong Suite. When I came back at night, I found an extra bottle of red wine and a small card in the room. The supervisor said that in order to express his apology, he gave us a bottle of red wine and a free breakfast for two. Because we had dinner, we shamelessly continued to eat on the third night, although we checked out on the morning of the third day. The breakfast was great and the dinner did not disappoint."

"I traveled from Vientiane, Vangrong to Luang Prabang. I couldn't give good reviews to the hotels in the first two places, but I gave a thumbs up to this hotel. The decoration style is full of Southeast Asian style, and the floor tiles and lighting all reveal the store's care. The garden is lush and green. The best thing is its breakfast and afternoon tea. The jams and juices are all made in-house, so there is no need to worry about additives. The location is very convenient. It only takes two minutes to walk to the Mekong River and 5 to 10 minutes to walk to the Foreigner Street. There are scenery on the way to wherever you go. The free bicycles accompanied us through two happy days. I will continue to stay here next time."

"We had a wonderful stay at The Jam Boutique Hotel! Check-in was smooth and welcoming, with super friendly staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. They even suggested great local spots to try for food the next day, which was a nice personal touch. Our room was new, modern, and very comfortable, with a beautiful view overlooking the pool and hotel grounds. Breakfast was included and absolutely delicious — we looked forward to it every morning. The location couldn’t have been better, within easy walking distance to local restaurants, markets, and the night market. The pool was a highlight, especially on hot days — clean, refreshing, and surrounded by a relaxing atmosphere. What really set this hotel apart was the exceptional staff. Everyone was warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile to help with anything we needed. Overall, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend The Jam Boutique Hotel to anyone visiting the area!"

"This hotel is about 10 minutes drive from the city center. There are pick-up and drop-off vehicles. There is a timetable every day. So it’s not too annoying to travel. Breakfast is generally nothing to have quality things, just ordinary food. The hotel is built next to a rice field. The scenery is not bad. It is suitable for travelers who like to stay away from the city. The hotel equipment is a bit old. The shower faucet in the room is broken on the last day. I am too lazy to fix it."

"Our stay had a lot of high points and a lot of low points. Starting with the high points, the grounds and room were incredible. Our experience at the spa was one of the best we’ve had. The cocktails and Laos-style burger we had for lunch one day were phenomenal. The staff were charming and very accommodating. However, there were a few aspects that were far below the experience expected of a 5 star hotel. First, cocktail service around the pool was abysmal. On almost every occasion we had to go searching for a staff member to take our order, and then the cocktails more often than not took more than half an hour to arrive. This is despite the fact that we seemed to be the only people ordering F&B at that time, i.e. they were not busy at all. Second, the breakfast was a disappointment every day - we were told we could order eggs or noodles, and had to repeatedly press the staff to find out what type of eggs and noodles, and we only discovered on the last day that there was a menu with additional options. We ordered poached eggs on toast, and the eggs had not been drained of excess liquid, and the bread was entirely soaked through. An order of waffles took over an hour to come out - first it was delivered as a pancakes, and then they just forgot about it despite repeated follow ups. The “local” Laos options lacked flavor - very little of the herbs and spice that makes Laos food great. I think this and the pool service issue are primarily the result of a lack of training and instruction for staff - they were clearly doing their best, but did not know what to do. Third, the pool area needs a lot more spent on maintenance. The decking is cracking and falling apart. The mosaic tiles in the pool are falling apart, A LOT of the tiles are missing, and I got a very large laceration on my forearm from the sharp edge of a tile sticking out. If this pool were in a western jurisdiction, it would not meet health and safety standards. Fourth, the gym was not worth visiting if you want to lift weights. Possibly the worst weights offering I’ve seen for a hotel of that price and with that much space. We want to reiterate how great and enthusiastic the staff were. I think this is primarily a management oversight, training, and maintenance capex issue."
