Nice hotel in the middle of Sequoia National Park.

We arrived just before 8pm, the receptions wasn't friendly at all. She checked us in and gave us the paperwork without any explanation as to what was what. We asked for the restaurant and stated they closed in 20 min. When we asked for a recommendation she stated no to eat there. We went to the bar to order. 1 pizza, a salad, a sandwich, 1 beer, and a plastic cup of wine $90. The room wasn't that great for the amount that they charge. Overpriced for sure. The housekeeping staff very unfriendly and look miserable.
The only positive experience we had was with the young lady Alexandra who is another receptionist who we talked to the next morning. Very friendly and cheerful, she made up for the supervisor on duty the night before.

The location is fabules, but our room 6215 at Thunderbird was the only one with less windows and view. We did a lot of struggle to find the place to check-in, but got good help when we finally understood. A little sign, or many signs on the Thunderbird would be a help for severel costumers.
My feeling was that your company prefure big companys, not singel tourist.

Beautiful area and nice room. But the heater/air conditioning unit fan never shut off the entire time. Very annoying. The bathroom fan was extremely noisy and turned on automatically with the light. The room needed some maintenance. The staff, food, service was very nice.

We went during the mid July period when temperatures ran around 100 degrees. Given the absence of AC, it was too hot especially at night. We got our hiking and sightseeing in during the 2 days we were there (some things were still closed due to the pandemic) but we left a day early to get to a place that had AC. Other than that, no complaints. Going in, We weren’t expecting the Bellagio but even then, it’s A little pricey for what you get. Next time, we plan to stay outside the park and travel into Kings to see that side.

Very pretty place. It is highly advisable to sleep in this hotel because it is inside the park.

Great little hotel. We ended up leaving a day early due to a storm coming in. I was afraid we wouldn’t be able to leave the next morning knowing I had to be in San Fran that afternoon. They were great crediting me back that night that night left.

Great location near the giant forest! Restaurant was good! It was better than expected after some of the previous reviews. It sounds like a new chef has changed the place around. We will go back. 2 adults with 2 children
