Ibis Reading Centre

This hotel offers excellent value for money compared to other hotels near Heathrow Airport. The rooms are spacious and well soundproofed, and there are plenty of dining options nearby, including a Wendy's downstairs. The staff are polite and efficient. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel and a train station just a 2-minute walk away. The pillows and mattress were very soft and comfortable.

I only stayed one night, so I can't say it was great or terrible, just okay. The room was generally spacious, and while it had been renovated, many of the facilities were still mediocre. For example, there were only bedside lamps and no main light, making the room quite dim. There was no remote control, so I couldn't watch TV. Opening the door was also a bit inconvenient. I specifically requested no corner room in my reservation notes, but as expected, I was still given a corner room on the second floor. Since the price was relatively cheap, I guess it's understandable they didn't follow the request. If you're looking for something better, you might want to look elsewhere. Excellent service from the moment you step into the hotel, where you're greeted by very professional staff. The room was impeccably clean and had everything you need for your stay. The location is perfect, right in the center of Reading and just a few steps from the train station. You have shops and the museum right next door.
