The place is Circa 1902 and that describes the rest of it. The method of entry with noone present was not the easiest and took a few goes to work. The bed was very soft. The bathroom facilities were very outdated. There was a room freshener that was very potent and sickly sweet, maybe to hide other odours or just the owners preferred aroma? I would'nt go back again.

Beautiful place just renovated with true historical features from the Edwardian era. You have to share a bathroom but it’s worth it! The views in all directions are stunning please come here if you can!

Just stay one night in Queenscliff and take the ferry across the sea to the Mornington Peninsula the next day. When we arrived at around six o'clock in the evening, there were no people in the town and all the shops were closed. Searching for hotels here on Ctrip, there are not many, and there are not many choices for room types suitable for a couple like us with three children. Only this one is more suitable. The disadvantage is that the bathroom is shared and there is no kitchen. According to the mobile phone text message sent by the seller, I opened the password door of the whole building and found the key to my room on the front desk. The public bathroom is very clean, and there is a tea room. The shops outside are closed, so the food we brought was heated in the microwave here. When we left the next day, we met the male owner of the house, who enthusiastically helped us show the way to the port. This building should be an old building, like a museum. Being in it feels like traveling through time, which is also a good experience! I only saw an old couple staying this night. We were the only two guests in the castle-like building. The child was a little scared and didn't dare to go to the toilet by himself😂.

It's lucky I brought my own pillow because the pillows here stunk of head grease. This place has more of a youth hostel vibe than a hotel. Someone's dirty flannel had been left hanging on the door. The toilets and showers are down the corridor and I did not. Look forward to having a shower. There is dust and spider webs on the air vents and the curtains aren't put up straight. There's a lot of paint work that needs fixing up. The rooms are not soundproofed and I was working up by very rude people arriving late at night - The noise they made seemed to go on endlessly. At least the bed was very comfortable and I appreciate that these people are looking after such a lovely old building. It's just that it seems that cleaners must be hard to come by in Queenscliff.

The location of the property was the only positive as our band was playing at The Blues Train and it was easy to get there and back. The room we were given was not clean as there were dead moths and there was a lot of dust. The building might be old but there is no excuse for the poor condition of both the door and window, as both nights were cold and very windy, which means there was a severe cold draught on the second night. There is a mouse hole on the door’s bottom corner which means that anything can enter and in addition there were no extra blankets. I was surprised at the lack of foresight by the owners as I should not have to ask for an extra blanket, and in Queenscliff cold nights any time of year are not unusual. As a result, we froze at night and were sick for the rest of our week For the time we were there, the front desk wasn’t manned so to approach someone for a blanket at night or anything else was difficult. It is very unfortunate as we were so looking forward to staying at Circa 1902 as it is advertised as refurbished and stylish but our experience was the opposite. Also as performers for the Blues Train, which I made clear to the person on the desk on arrival, this hotel was recommended to us by the organiser of the TBTrain. So disappointed.

Share single male toilet inadequate unless you like climbing stairs. Lack of extra bedding had a very cold night.

Beautiful old pub, well kept and full of character. The location is great and the facilities are decent. The rooms are cute and full of history. The owners were so lovely when they greeted us on arrival. Thanks for the hospitality!

My partner and I had the best stay. The owner Sally was lovely, it's in the best location and our bed was so comfy. We have the best time and I'd come back. We also had an ocean view room!
