Hôtel Manoir Vieux-Québec

I was assigned a semi-basement room, and it was a bit uncomfortable because stone dust kept falling from the walls.

The front desk staff were incredibly kind and wonderful! The location was just across the park from Dufferin Terrace. The hotel's rooftop terrace was also lovely! Breakfast was also very reasonable, so we used it every day. We rented a car, but the hotel didn't have a parking lot, so they accompanied us to a nearby parking lot. It was very helpful!

A very warm welcome, excellent service from the breakfast lady who was incredibly helpful, the spa is well-appointed and very clean with towels and bathrobes provided, the gym is small but well-equipped, with towels and a TV where you can cast your phone. The rooms are well laid out and equipped. The hotel is very well located in Old Quebec. However, it's uphill to get there and buses don't run in Old Quebec, so with several suitcases it's difficult to walk; it's best to take a taxi or an Uber.

The hotel didn't proactively provide disposable toiletries. But I'm very grateful to the front desk agent for upgrading us to a room with a view. Opening the curtains (the windows wouldn't open) revealed the Château Fontana and the Plains of Abraham. Birds were constantly foraging and squirrels were playing. In the distance, we could see the Saint Lawrence River.

The room assigned did not match the order. I booked a 1.8m king-size bed for a better rest during the trip, but they gave me a 1.5m bed instead. The next day, they blamed me for not checking the room before entering.

The room is okay, there is no bottled water, no blackout curtains, the light at the door of the opposite resident is facing the window where I live, so I can only sleep with my back all night. The hotel has to go up the steps on the second floor. The steps are steep and narrow. You need to be careful when you carry the suitcase up and down. When we checked out, we took the suitcase and fell down the steps!
