The resort has a quiet environment, which is especially suitable for relaxing. The facilities are a bit old, but it does not affect the overall stay experience. The boss also provided us with a free boat ride to and from Summer Bay Resort, thumbs up!

Just came back from LanG Tengah for 3D2N. We were group of 3 staying at D'coconut Lagoon (west wing). The Island - there are only 4 hotels at the island and not all at the same beach. When you reached the island you will be seeing crystal clear water. D'coconut is situated at the other side of the island and you can walk (through the jungle - 5 mins walking) to visit the other resorts / beach. If you want to see baby sharks at night, head to Sari Pacifica's jetty ;) The hospitality - Mr Anuar greeted us upon arriving at the hotel lobby and the staff will helped you with your bags and luggage. The check in process was okay and Mr Anuar will give a short briefing on rules of the hotel and itinerary. The staffs there were very friendly and helpful. The room - we stayed in Cabana rooms. You can see the beach directly from your balcony. We purposely choose this room just for the view. Unfortunately, D'coconut should really pay attention to cleanliness of their resort. Our room was not entirely 'okay' with the price we paid. The bed was so sandy even under the duvet :/ The toilet did not cleaned properly. I think they do not have dedicated housekeepers to take care of the rooms. So we only used the room to sleep at night. The rest of the time, we spent our time outside. The food - they served buffet for all meal with limited choice. However, the food were incredibly delicious! Kudos to the chef and team. Your dining area will be facing the beach, something that you will be misisng once you are back. The beach - since the west wing of the resort only has limited number of rooms, you will hardly see people at the beach. As if you are at the private island. And the beach was so breezy and you will not be sweating because of the breeziness unlike like the other side of the island. You can also kayak if you want. The experience- on our first night, we were lucky we get to see the turtle laying 136 eggs. Tell Mr Anuar to inform you if there is a turtle coming to the island! At lang tengah it is a perfect place for stargazing and seeing blue tears along the beach. Ask the staff to show you around :) You wil get complimentary of 2 snorkeling trips together with the package you signed up. They will also bring you to see the baby sharks near the beach at the summer bay resort. Overall, we had the best time in Lang Tengah. Although it is a small island but you will get a handful of experience throughout your stay. If you are looking for a peaceful and serenity, you should definitely come here. From Redang, Pulau Perhentian this is by far the best island I have experienced.

Room: Deluxe Low: Comfort, privacy, nice view Swimming pool: Nice view surrounded by coconut trees, you can enjoy the open air sauna Food: Awesome!!!! Especially I like the spagetti bolognaise, the taste exactly like I had in Italy! I can feel the hospitality from kitchen and F&B staffs~ Overall: nice sandy beach with stunning view, you can choose this resort with budget price, then walk to famous sandy beach Summer Bay via jungle trail.

The view was great, but not the resort. First of all, the swimming pool was a BIG disappointment, it’s not same as picture- it looks dirty and doesn’t look like swimming pool. Second, the room executive standard with very little water come out from shower and we literally shower outside (the shower where people wash themselves after snokerling or swimming)! The room was not properly prepared for us to get in- missing mineral water, coffee.. The staff was helpful but unfortunately the cleanliness of the room WAS SUPER BAD! Me and my friend ended up got bitten by bed bugs seriously and it was so itchy. I will never go there again.

The good 1) The resort is very quiet with secluded lagoons 2) Staffs are very friendly and attentive to requests The bad 1) Room cleanliness can be improved 2) There are no facilities at the resort 3) Resort surrounding has run down and needs renovation 4) Possibility of no buffet meals during low season with low occupancy

3/5 - rooms very clean and pool very good - right on beach which is nearly private it is so quiet - we stayed in west wing and were very happy Cons - we went B&B and to order dinner each day was hard as many things in the menu were not available! The bar at night was nice but resort was quiet and we were only ones there - not resorts fault but something to keep in mind We walked through abandoned resort to go to summer bay for lunch most days

On the advice of Lonely Planet, we spent 3 nights at D’Coconut. After the hustle and bustle of the Perenthians, we were delighted to arrive on this intimate island and in this resort which seemed heavenly to us, at least in the photos. What was our disappointment on our arrival: dropped off by boat, we arrived at the restaurant which also serves as reception. Its style is old-fashioned and its coldness is matched only by that of the staff who welcome us. Taken by a pressing desire after the boat crossing, we discovered the shared toilets in an abominable state, and unfortunately the discoveries that followed did not improve things: - dirty swimming pool, not at all maintained - modest room - bathroom bordering on unsanitary (water damage, humidity problems, moss and fungus, pestilential odors) - yellow sheets - marks on the walls - only one roll of toilet paper for 3 days and 2 people - mini rusty and noisy fridge - disgusting and suspicious buffet food (we both got sick) - a la carte food already a little better, but the waiters are incapable of explaining the contents of the dishes... which is not for reassure us Finally, the general state of the resort is in a lamentable state: the west wing where the diving club is still located has been completely abandoned... On the road which connects the two wings (and which we are obliged to borrow to go to the diving club) we find mounds of pestilential garbage…. And to think that turtles lay eggs in the surrounding area... how sad! As for the diving club, it is only saved by the very friendly divemaster!! Thanks to him !! On the other hand, the state of the club itself and the equipment frankly do not inspire confidence. To conclude, this would ultimately not be so serious if the prices charged were below the market; it’s ultimately the opposite… Our advice: go your way

There are many good things to write about this place but also some not so good ones. The location is really fantastic. What peace, what silence. And the people are just nice. They seem a bit shy. But smile and you'll get a super wide one in return. The rooms in the west wing are spacious, we had an executive deluxe room, and all have a balcony with a sea view. There is a small refrigerator, 2 spacious double beds. Separate bathroom with toilet. If you want, you can get clean towels every day, just ask. This also applies to cleaning, because that is not standard. You can also use these towels for the pool and beach. You can dive, snorkel, kayak, clamber over the rocks at low tide. You have to enjoy yourself, which is fine for all of us. Unfortunately, the period 2020-2022 did little good. There is quite a bit of deferred maintenance. You still see many photos of what it was like and also of the east wing (with the elongated swimming pool), but that side is temporarily closed and unfortunately offers a desolate sight. The food is fine. Simple, not a lot of variety but tasty. If you want something different, there is the Dewati restaurant x00 meters away. As for alcohol, they have beer (Carlsberg 12 RM). Oh yes, water, coffee and tea are free. Ready in the restaurant. You can also take some with you in bags and then use the pressure cooker. There is a tiny shop in the Summer Bay resort further away (easily accessible via a path through the forest). You can also buy beer there: Carlsberg (RM12), Tiger (RM13), Heineken (RM14). There is also a diving center there, but that is only for guests of that resort. Mainly Chinese. The diving center at D'Coconut is excellent. At least if you don't want luxury and are satisfied with less good material in terms of fins, glasses and so on. The diving guides are super good, as are the dive sites. You have to walk along a path through the forest to the east wing before you get there. So conclusion, it is camping in a hotel, zero luxury and very quiet. If you don't mind, this is really the place to be.

The complex has certainly seen better days. The photo that appears in the ad is no longer there. There were two areas of this hotel, one of them is completely abandoned, it does not exist, it does not work and it is demolished. The other area, where we were, needs urgent renovation. The place is idyllic, but surely with the pandemic they have been abandoning everything. Rusty bathrooms and peeling rooms. The owner... very serious, but they have some pretty nice girls and boys there. Thanks to them we were able to do very interesting things. The workers are the best thing the complex has. And, of course, it is in a unique place if you don't mind the lack of maintenance.
