Crown Paradise Golden All Inclusive Resort - Adults Only

I booked a honeymoon suite and got a regular room upon arrival. I went to address the issue showing them proof of what I paid for and they didnt seem to care nor help us with that issue. The room I got was very outdated showing some signs of wear. Paint to cover the cracked walls and mold. My room had more view to the buffet and pool than it did the ocean.. the only good thing here is the bellman services. They're all great. The other staff seemed to rush us out the buffet we paid for all inclusive but this place was not worth it. Definitely not coming back nor recommend this not even to an enemy. Thanks to Trip.com and their fast customer service they reimbursed me a fair amount for me to just suck it up and hang in there till check out. I will never book this place again. Trip.com was very helpful.

The place has seen better days. Many of the photos shown in ads on Facebook and Trip.com are heavily edited, because the hotel itself is much more run down in person. For $250 CAD for one night, I expected working air conditioning. The air conditioning was broken in my first room, so I requested a different room, but the second room was only slightly better. I visited two rooms, and each one had something different that was broken. I also met other guests in the hallway who said their air conditioning was not working either. The snack bar was underwhelming, the free drinks were nothing special, and both the dinner and breakfast buffet in the main outdoor dining area made me wish I had eaten somewhere else. The hotel promotes all of its restaurants and bars, but it felt more like a facade. The English pub was basically a red-painted door, no air conditioning, some lights, and a pool table. The other restaurants looked very similar to one another. I also had to wait 1.5 hours after check-in time to receive my room. The staff were wonderful, and I appreciated their service, but I would not stay here again, at least during the off-season.

Rooms were clean, and the mini fridge was restocked daily with beer, water, and soda, which was a nice touch. My only complaint is the reservation system it shows restaurants as “sold out” within minutes, yet when you arrive, many tables are empty. This definitely needs improvement. The Japanese restaurant was our favorite and absolutely worth trying. However, I would recommend avoiding Salvadors, as our food was undercooked and unfortunately made us sick. One other suggestion would be to have an additional bartender at the adults-only hot tub / pool bar, as service can be quite slow with only one bartender.

The poolside bar was good. Rooms were cleaned upon request and they did a good job. Staff were nice.
