This place was great! It’s pretty much in the center of everything! Close to the beach close to restaurants close to the clubs. It’s really really perfect. The room was large and clean. The bed was very comfortable. And the continental breakfast was excellent. This is going to be my place to stay every time I visit. Thank you to everyone.

This is absolutely one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. I was given suite 111-B. A horrible suite with broken and ripped blinds, and no real daylight getting into the unit, chipped and marked up floors, pots and pans on stools sitting under the sink, and terrible mustiness that made the suite really uninhabitable for me. I stayed one night out of four I reserved. I had to find another place to stay. I requested and was refused a refund for the three nights I could not stay there. Not to mention the suite is directly across from a bar with loud music that goes until 2am! I would NEVER book in here again and do not recommend it.

Such an adorable hotel! We had La Palomera, and we absolutely loved the space, the terrace, and the view. The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, the room was outfitted with everything we needed, and the staff worked with us when our plane was delayed significantly past the scheduled arrival time (and post their departure time!). We loved the location and found the whole property to be charming and a good value for the price. I had literally zero complaints. I have already recommended staying here to friends planning a trip!

This was undoubtedly one of the finest hotel experiences I've had. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly. The bed provided the most comfortable sleep I've enjoyed in a long time. Both the fan and air conditioner worked perfectly, allowing me to sleep comfortably. The hotel features a rooftop seating area and a pool surrounded by a pleasant lounge space. Additionally, the hotel is offers breakfast each morning. My breakfast included toast with peanut butter, fresh fruit, and juice. The housekeepers were very sweet and diligently cleaned our rooms whenever we displayed the sign. Moreover, the hotel is conveniently located just a block from the beach, with a convenience store around the corner as well. I would highly recommend booking this hotel , we stayed a week and will definitely be back real soon.

The location in the Romantic Zone was really nice. There are more opulent hotels with more and better amenities and even nice pools. This one, in contrast, is in an old building converted to a boutique hotel. Along with that comes some compromises. For one, with limited flights coming into Puerto Vallarta coming from the Northeast, the earliest we could get to the hotel was about 5:30pm. The hotel staff goes home at 5pm. After hours, you let yourself in with a passcode into the front door and then you take yourself and your luggage up to your room where the key to the room is left. There are no instruction as to how to work the heating and air conditioning units in the room. We stayed in the Penthouse suite, with its own balcony and patio (a table and two chairs on the balcony, and lounge chairs on the patio). That is a great aspect of that suite. There's a kitchen for cooking in. The flow of the Penthouse suite isn't great in terms of the layout, though. The bedroom is fine, but the mattress was not all that comfortable. And the bathroom is tiny, with a tiny sink and little place to lay out toiletries. The shower water force is anemic. The breakfast is serviceable, with yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, and coffee, as well as bread and peanut butter. Nothing wrong with that. There are chairs and tables in the courtyard at which you can eat. The cushions had bird poop and/or bird poop stains on them, and even the tables occasionally had bird poop on them, as birds come and go in the courtyard. Better attention to the condition of the tables and cushions would be good. There are a couple of dogs on the premises. The owners take in stray dogs and provides shelter for them. Very thoughtful and kind to do so. There's a very small pool in the courtyard. We didn't go in, but we stuck our fingers in. The water was not likely heated. And given that it's an open air courtyard, the pool often had leaves floating in it. There were a couple of issues with the bathroom. One being the shower water force, and the other being the bathroom sink drain lacking any sort of stopper. When we arrived, there was a bottle cap sitting at the bottom of the drain. My wife fished it out. But she needs a sink stopper to safely put in her contact lenses. We contacted the front desk, but there was nothing to be done. They would need to order a new stopper for the sink, and they have no full-time maintenance person as far as we could tell. It's a small operation in terms of personnel. But overall, we were fine. We didn't spend all that much time in the room. Again, the location was terrific and overall, the hotel was charming. But if you're looking for a more, shall we say pampered stay, this isn't it.
