Amazing staff, extremely friendly and very professional. Right on the beach, although the beach is a little dirty, not so nice. However, it's a cheap ride to the beautiful White Beach. The spa attached to the resort was also great! Food was good. Would definitely recommend!

I'd like to graciously comment that to some extent, we had a good and fulfilling stay except for an uncomfortable experience in meeting a few ”defensive” staff of Jack Daniel Apartments. I would kindly suggest that next time, please welcome your guests warmly first before telling it to their face the cost of (e.g.) extra mattress for each night, missing bath towel, etc. I think it's intimidating to confront the guests with ”this and that prices” when they have just arrived. I regret to say that some staff were defensive in their explanation. Another intimidating act was the suggestion of Ms. Jocie for us to book another room with two superior bedrooms, when our booking confirmation stated 4 adults and 4 children. It was just relieving when she finally honoured the Agoda Booking Confirmation, but not after hours of long discussions 😢. Anyhow, I wasn't very glad to pay Php 2,000. for two extra mattresses for our additional two school children; and even this amount is high. We liked the swimming pool and the gardens. The property must have seen long years but well maintained. Despite my experience with a few intimidating staff, I'd like to thank Jack Daniel Apartments.

We stayed at Blue Crystal Beach Resorts for two weeks. We had the most wonderful time resting, sightseeing, island hopping and walks around the neighborhood. Breakfast is free which makes it taste even better, hahaha! On the serious side, the encounters we have had with the staff are phenomenal! Greets you with the sweetest biggest smile!!! Always asking if there is anything we need for our room, prepared our meals accordingly, at times even gave us the option if there is anything we wanted to eat out of the menu. They even go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure we have eaten before they leave for the night, how amazing is that! Truly unheard off! Thank Dolor and Annalyn for going the extra mile so we didn’t starve for the night. Thank you to Lucy and Ram for preparing our meals according to our dietary guidelines and make taste yummy! Thank you Phia, Josie and the rest of the staff whom kept our room very clean, well stocked and smelled really good. Until our next stay, take care of yourselves! It's quiet, it's family-friendly. The dive sites are close and allow a return to the resort after each dive. The equipment is mounted on the block and awaits us on the bangka. At the end of its stay, it is returned washed and dried. For the dives Christophe and Hippo will unearth the wonders to see. The day at Isla Verde is worth doing. A room is dedicated to the photographer to recharge the batteries and dry the equipment. The bedroom with 1 double bed is spacious with local artisan decor. The meals are excellent. The local staff is friendly and available and quickly remembers your first name. Well done Alain. The massage at the resort is of better quality and cleanliness than in town.

Checked in on the 18th, the environment is very good, the service is very thoughtful, very safe, there are hotel staff guarding the door at night! A special mention is that this restaurant is really great. I recommend going to her house for dinner. I ordered three or four dishes and it was dazzling! (PS On the second day of check-in, I left my phone on the chair by the pool after swimming. When I found out that I was looking for it, the hotel staff just delivered it to the door of the room very enthusiastically. Thank you so much!)

The hotel is in the alley at the foot of the mountain. The entrance is a relatively large open-air swimming pool. The water in the pool is very clean. Our room is on the second floor with a balcony. Although the room is not big, it feels very warm. The bed in the room is very soft and comfortable, and the air conditioner is very quiet and not very noisy. The shower has hot water but the water volume is not very large. The hotel can call horse* chicken to the room, you can also order, and also provide simple kitchenware to use in the lobby. We stayed for a long time, tired of the island's Western food, Filipino food, Korean food, cooked noodles and occasionally ate it. Overall, the hotel is moderately priced and the price is relatively high. Close to Sabang beach - 5 mins by bike (P25 only) or 25 mins walk. In quite hill overlooking bay - nice sea view. Very clean swimming pool. Good WiFi outside the room. Have back up generator for frequent power failure - only problem is that air con not available when generator is on. Staff is very friendly and offer good advice on tour and ferry services. Provide bike rental and tricycle at very reasonable price. Clean pool daily and when request, quick to clean up room. Cleanliness is excellent. Good selection of cable TV channels Will definitely stay with them for my next PG trip

PG is a paradise for diving enthusiasts! Due to its location on the island, the facilities, environment and auxiliary facilities are relatively backward. If you are traveling as a vacation, couple, or parent-child, PG is not necessarily the best choice. But if everyone has a common hobby - diving, PG must be a very worthwhile place to go. There are many dive sites near the town, the corals are well protected, and each one is rare. The coaches there are very amiable and very professional, and there is a lot of fun to be found there at the elementary to advanced level.

Had the pleasure of staying at La Laguna Beach Club & Dive Centre for a few days. The staff at the hotel went out of their way to ensure I had a great stay. They organized a private boat to pick me up in Busuangas as the public ferries were canceled on the day of my arrival due to a gale warning. The food was great, and I loved the boutique style and relaxed nature of the hotel. The hotel is beautifully located right on the shoreline only 600 meters from the center of Sabang. The dive shop is part of the hotel making diving a breeze. I have been scuba diving for +30 years and have been diving all over the world. Puerto Galera boasts some of the best shore-based diving in the world. The soft coral is stunning and the biodiversity is amazing. Great diving for looking at small stuff. Visibility averages between 15-25 meters which will disappoint some, but not me given the number of critters to look at. You will be hard-pressed to find a better and more professional run dive shop. Top-notch, new equipment; great friendly dive instructors and attention to safety. Most of the more than 30 dive sites are just 5-10 minutes away by boat giving you time to do more dives and rat the hotel in between dives. La Laguna Beach Club & Dive Centre is located only 3hrs away from Manila making diving possible even if you have only a few days.

I booked at Jalyns for 5 days, & stayed 2 weeks. It is 5 minutes ride out of sabang & 10 mins to puerta galera. A perfect distance to escape the hustle & bustle, but also close enough not to be inconvenient. They also have mopeds for hire. The owners & staff are friendly & helpful and make you feel welcome. Leah was amazing with my booking, sorting everything out promptly by messenger. It has many room types, a restaurant and 2 swimming pools. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay & would recommend Jalyn's resort.

This hotel is located between Sabang Beach and Murie port. Both go to Tricycle around 15 minutes. It is very quiet because it is away from downtown. There is only a small private store in front of the entrance of the hotel, and there is no other store, so shopping and exchange other than drinks must stretch your legs to Sabang Beach or Murie port. The hotel is built on a cliff. There is a front desk (reception) near the sea at the bottom of the cliff on the first and the first. There are nearly 100 steps from the entrance to the front desk. Cheap rooms are close to the sea as the room with a little ranking near the entrance. The pool is 2 places and is next to the middle location and front desk. The beach is a private beach. The restaurant is last ordered around 8 pm and the bar is until 10 pm at night. Because it is the same place, you can eat the food you asked for in the last order slowly until the time when the bar ends. The taste is ok. The price is lined up with restaurants in downtown Puerto Galera. The massage is 100 pesos higher than downtown (500 → 600 pesos) but it is the direction you like to enjoy hotel life without going anywhere. The scenery is the best. When you return, if you pay the chip, the male staff will be happy to carry your luggage and carry it to the entrance of the hotel.

They have the best staff we've ever met in Puerto Galera, special mention to Jane and Steph, they are very accommodating, entertaining, and well conversant with english. The food was amazing especially the Juevos Raancheros and Machaca Chicken and egg. Definitely we will be back, because of the genuine care and attention of the staff which I think that is really lacking even in some 5 star hospitality institutions we have visited in the past. This is a great boutique hotel with spacious villas suitable for our family. The pool is great, happy hour is a blast 4-6pm daily and rooms are comfortable. The ate at their restaurant every night and food was good. During the day we took the boat which cost approx 3k for 4 hours and did island hopping. The stairs in the resort to your room is a challenge so if you have limited mobility then avoid but we had no issue with it.

This was my second stay at the Mermaid Resort. I am happy to have visited again. The location is on the main road. It's close to the bay but just above the noisy restaurants and bars. The penthouse rooms offer a nice view of the bay and a giant outdoor whirlpool tub. Air conditioning is a modern split mini with remote control - great! The bed has a memory foam mattress and duvet-type comforter. The bathroom has an enormous tub/shower. There are two shelves for toiletries, etc. Everything was very clean. There is a large TV with lots of channels. Internet speeds are solid: 5 mbps down, 6mbps up. The staff are terrific. They arranged a water taxi for me and a transfer to Manila. I'd be happy to return.

This is a great boutique hotel with spacious villas suitable for our family. The pool is great, happy hour is a blast 4-6pm daily and rooms are comfortable. The ate at their restaurant every night and food was good. During the day we took the boat which cost approx 3k for 4 hours and did island hopping. The stairs in the resort to your room is a challenge so if you have limited mobility then avoid but we had no issue with it.

I need a new vocabulary. Having previously used all the superlatives to describe other resorts, I need new ones, as this is an order of magnitude beyond all previous resort vacations. The physical resort, the food, the service, the diving, the attitude of the staff, everything. I was met at the airport, guided through the ferry terminal, picked up at the ferry landing, taken to the resort, and greeted by name, by everyone, all week. At no time was I ”just another dollar”, and at no time was any member of the staff less than entirely cheerful and helpful. I could get used to this, real easy... It's as if I were a valued guest, instead of just a customer. Imagine that. To make this shorter for those who don't want to read the rest of this... I began my plans to return on the way home. I rarely go anywhere outside of the USA twice, (been there, done that..) Not this time. I am going back and I will bring as many friends as I can. It's 14 hours on a jet from LAX to Manila, and 4 more hours after that. I hate travel, but this was worth it. I'll take Philippine Airlines again next time too. They don't treat you like cattle, sheep or dirt. I have now felt respect while travelling, and I like it! The flight wasn't so bad. I am 6” tall, weight 240, and was comfortable in economy. Free wifi, a tv with free movies, tv shows, music..etc.. a very pleasant flight, in both directions. Food OPTIONS! You get to choose. Wow. On arrival at Marco Vincent, I was greeted by name, shown my room, a crate was outside my door to put my dive gear in, it was the last time I handled it all week. My room was large, extremely clean, super comfortable with a small fridge full of water, a table w 2 chairs, a big shower, AC unit, very firm mattress, spotless soft white sheets, a 32” TV with plenty of channels and it was quiet. All meals were as good as I have had anywhere. This place only has 32 rooms, so the buffet menu is not extensive, but I always found more than enough of what I like to eat. The quality and presentation was always top notch. The quality of the food extends to the dive boat, Big Beth. They have a chef aboard and those meals are the same quality as at the resort. Remember, this is a day boat, and they have a chef aboard serving freshly made gourmet meals. (Sure beats grabbing a sandwich at Walmart on the way to the lake....) The diving itself was like nowhere else. I saw things I didn't know existed.. an electric clam? WOW! Nudibranchs, mantis shrimp, lion fish (where they belong), a few octopi, at least three, maybe five, different morays, frogfish, giant clams, miniature seahorses, scorpionfish, colors that I can't describe...more different fish than I could list in a week... Every dive was something new, and all conducted from a really nice boat, the nicest boat I saw there. This amazing hotel is the perfect stay in Puerto Galera. It’s a five minute walk from the beach, and near shops and restaurants. Close to the action if you want it, but also just far enough away for quiet when you need it. The pool is refreshing and clean, the room was spacious, and it’s easy to find upon arrival from the Balatero Port. The staff were inviting and hospitable. Only downsides: no WiFi in the rooms, have to pay for breakfast. Everything else about this place is 5/5.

Checked in on the 18th, the environment is very good, the service is very thoughtful, very safe, there are hotel staff guarding the door at night! A special mention is that this restaurant is really great. I recommend going to her house for dinner. I ordered three or four dishes and it was dazzling! (PS On the second day of check-in, I left my phone on the chair by the pool after swimming. When I found out that I was looking for it, the hotel staff just delivered it to the door of the room very enthusiastically. Thank you so much!)
