This was a perfect base for the land part of our Galapagos trip. The hotel is extremely clean, staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious with effective aircon and, in some cases, fans as well. Location was central and everywhere an easy walk. We enjoyed using the pool at the end of the day and the tasty breakfast was a bonus.

The location is central and the breakfast is exceptional good. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Room decor is modern and bed is comfortable. I would have given it a rating of 5 for the room and services. However, there is currently two construction sites next to the hotel so there is noise. The construction site also blocks the view. This is the reason I gave a rating of 3.

Beautiful boutique hotel with wonderful staff who attended to our every need. Breakfast was made fresh to order every morning- yogurt, fruit, granola, and then the main dish which was always eggs, a breakfast meat and some side dishes which changed daily. The entire hotel was spotless. Daily housekeeping kept our room spotless as well. Mini split air conditioning in our room kept us cool and comfortable. Many thanks for a wonderful stay!

We had a great stay at Acacia. The location was very central and walkable to shops, dinner, the Charles Darwin Center, and a couple of beaches. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. And the staff was very friendly and helpful, plus a delicious fresh breakfast daily. So glad we planned a couple of days in Puerto Ayora - there are sea lions, tortoises, and marine iguanas all over the place and we spent a lovely day at Tortuga Bay (thanks to recommendation from Acacia staff). Wish we had planned more time there.

Whoever manages this property deserves serious kudos for their impeccable hiring. Claudia, Jose, and Carolina were nothing short of phenomenal—welcoming, attentive, and consistently a step ahead of our needs. Just minutes from the buzz of Puerto Ayora, this serene, beautifully maintained building felt like a hidden gem. Despite the island’s reputation for rustic charm, this boutique hotel rivaled the service and polish of a 5-star stay in any major city. We were impressed from start to finish: packed lunches ready for our early excursions, personalized breakfasts on slower mornings, and spot-on local recommendations that enhanced our entire trip. In most places, there’s usually one staff member who falls short—but not here. The whole team ran so smoothly, we felt genuinely taken care of in every moment. Another guest was feeling ill and we literally saw the staff get them meds and even translated the instructions and offered them soup from a batch place. If you’re heading to the Galápagos and want comfort without compromise, this is the place.

This hotel is a real gem in Puerto Ayora. Only a block off of Charles Darwin makes it central, but without all of the noise. Carolina, Jose and all of the staff at the Hotel Acacia were amazing. Breakfast is very good and lasts all day. The hotel is spotless.

Small but perfect boutique hotel. We were checked din by Jose Miguel who was very helpful and who I had dialogue with through watsapp before we arrived as our flight was a bit late. After check in we were shown. to room 303. There is a balcony at the from to the room which has views over the sea. There is a new building being constructed in front of the hotel so this view may be lost. No lift so you will need to carry your bags up. There is a simple healthy breakfast in the morning, with eggs made to order. They will also pep rare a packed breakfast to take away if you have an early start. Breakfast is available from 6.00am. Reception is maned till 10.00pm and so if you return after 10.00pm you are given a code to get in. There is also an emergency contact if u need to call. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The bathroom had a walk in shower. There is a small fridge but no coffee making facilities. There is coffee, tea and water available at the restaurant area 24 hours. Water saving procedures in the bathrooms like the rest of the island. There is also a nice lounge area on the first floor. The ground floor rooms open directly onto the pool area. We didn't have any issues with noise. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is less than a minute walk from Charles Darwin Ave along the sea shore. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Charles Darwin Research Centre and the same to the harbour. There are plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops near to the hotel. Our favourites were Al Mar and Isla Grill (you can get a discount voucher from the. hotel for here). Like most of the hotels on the islands they are built on the plot of a house so they are naturally small but it makes them more personal. This hotel is perfect for a stay In Puerto Ayora.
