Hotels near Santuario romano del Monte Calvario, Province of Belluno

We'd planned a multi-day trek on the Alta Via and stayed at both Fiori before and after our mountain trek. We chose Fiori because it was close, but away from the bustle of Cortina, offering a more relaxed and enjoyable experience. The facility was beautiful, the staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. We'd highly recommend Fiori.

We stayed for 4 nights during the last week of September and early October & it was our first time in the Dolomites. It was walking distance to town and there is free parking in the hotel. It was in a good location where restaurants and shops are walking distance. We ate dinner in restaurants close by. At check in, the reception gave us a list of recommended restaurants. The staff were nice. The breakfast was filling and they offered a variety of food and drinks. The pastries were not so good. We had better ones in the hotel at Val Gardena. On our first night, there was a big bus and in the morning, the breakfast area was so full & chaotic. There was almost no table available. The coffee/espresso maker line was very long and they ran out of cups, etc. I felt sorry for the staff who looked overwhelmed. Thank goodness that the next 3 days were better since we were in a rush to go to the mountains. We had a standard room in the Annex with a good view of the mountains & a little patio with chairs. It was quiet at night. The room rate we got was reasonably priced for the area. I was a little chilly at night and the hotel staff told us that they don’t turn on the gas until winter. Overall, our stay was good.

We arrived early because the weather was not looking good and we decided to cancel our hike. Fortunately the room was ready for us. Hotel Olimpia normally charge 15 euros per day for parking but we were originally booked in Hotel Al Larin which has free parking, they honoured free parking for me in Hotel Olimpia. That was good because the carpark is behind and our room was on the ground floor. So we did not have to go up nor down any stairs with our luggage. Otherwise from the street there is a long flight of stairs to the hotel reception and if your room is upstairs, more stairs to climb. The room was of adequate size for 3 of us. The bathroom was very small though and smells of mold. There was a kettle. coffee and tea, but no fridge. The tv didn't have any English channels. The picture here in Tripadvisor are old. Our room was newly renovated with modern decor which is different from their old pictures with dated decor. However they did not have blackout curtains. Also our room face the road and a carpark. So there was traffic noise even till late. We could sleep but light sleepers might find it bothersome. The room was clean and beds comfortable. There are toiletries and the shower is strong and hot. Breakfast had limited variety and the first morning the croissants were either burnt or cold. The hard boiled eggs were cold too. Unfortunately for us, we were mostly stuck in the hotel for the 2 days we were there because it rained all day. The hotel is near shops and restaurants so we could walk around a bit but not for 2 whole days. We will be back and will stay in hotel Olimpia again for its central location.

August 2024: in 2 Family. We stayed ten days in this hotel. The typical mountain structure surrounded by all green tops, trees and herbs, and cosy with a charming stream. The warm and very familiar atmosphere. The rooms they gave were double and triple, large, with essential furnishings, comfortable beds, TV, large box and large bathroom. We had dinner every evening in the hotel, found typical dishes of the area very tasty and abundant (good tiramisu). The team of ready staff is careful to meet any request, Mrs. Laura was wonderful, William the room manager is funny and sympathetic and fun with customers, The chef chef Mirko carefully and well advised us typical and tasty dishes, Michael at the reception goodly and carefully in performing the service. Such a lovely boutique property. I arrived around noon from an international flight and my room was ready and I was able to get in early, shower and take a nap! The hosts were very helpful and knowledgeable. Finding the hotel was a challenge though. It only has a small address / sign next to its door. I walked in circles for a bit before finally finding it. But given it is off the beaten path, it was very quiet!
