Hotels with Private Pool in Haikou

"We visited the homestay and it felt really homely. However, there are some shortcomings which i personally don’t feel very pleasant about. We reached there earlier than the supposedly check-in time as the flight was a redeye flight, we were told to wait. During waiting, we were told to fill up the visitor form but some of our phones can’t do the submission due to unreceived OTP. Also, this is a residential apartment so Taobao items are not kept at front desk. It’s delivered to nearby pickup point which can be across the street or at the edge of the area. Before entering the residential building, security guard will request for your details, once again. And every time you enter you have to get access from security. This is something that is very tedious, especially when the security swapped shift. The house, although homely, was very humid and stale. There was supposedly an aircon in the living room but was removed. Visiting in summer was a torment. Unit is electrical saving in the sense that you have to activate the button behind the main door everytime you open and close the door. If you dont, it will deactivate the electrical supply. With that said, you have to return to a extremely hot and humid unit every single day. Kitchen was dirty, unkept. Toilets have foul smell of drainage, sewer flies were observed as well. Common toilet right beside the main door appeared to be translucent, which got the user getting paranoid over the silhouette when showering, especially in the night. Housekeeping wasnt done for our 3 nights stay. We came back to untidy room and was told that cleaner had knocked off despite uncompleted jobs. When asked for essentials like toilet rolls and mineral water, it was the cleaner aunty who delivered, while taking her time and nagging at our request for delivery. We paid for extension because our return flight was late, but cleaner aunty came in even before our agreed time. Just so that she can knock off on time after cleaning the unit."

"We are 3 generations that stayed in a 2 bedroom villa that encountered many problems during our 5 night stay. There were 2 days where we had issues with the hot water, 2 different days when we had electrical issues (lights would not turn on or off in the master bedroom), 1 day of toilet problems, and some kitchen cleanliness issues as well. Our butler Michelle worked hard to help us fix the issues as quick as possible, but it was quite frustrating to encounter and not what we expected of a Ritz Carlton at all. I felt bad for Michelle who had to deal with our issues even on her days off and when she wasn’t around, we had to speak with 3 different managers (Peter, Arthur and Felix) on 3 different days… just seems like there were no consistency in their service even though the staff were well intentioned. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend this hotel based on our stay."

"The heavy rain that day has been walking around with a bag, waiting for the last check-out, the room is quite clean, if you travel by bus, Meilan and Haikou East Station are all bus stops nearby, the only thing is that there is a convenience store nearby but the exterior of the house is beautiful. The streamline, The lighting is very good, the greening is a bit too good after the rainstorm hahaha, you can listen to the sound of frogs and even you can step on the place where there is a pond, and there are small mushrooms that come out after the rainstorm. You can stroll by the beach sooner or later. I don’t think this price is good in Haikou. Anyway, I think it’s still good 😊 Reply to my young lady. The voice is really good. The password lock is so I haven’t seen anyone. I can often see passengers traveling around. I like it."

"The location is superb. You can go to Wanlv Park to take a walk to see the sea when you go downstairs. The weather in Haikou is really good. It is very cool during the day and at night. It is very comfortable to go to the park to blow the sea breeze at night. The room is very large, the decoration is very comfortable, it is really clean like a home, now I feel a little like Shanghai, the landlord sister service is very intimate, what needs to be delivered in a while, and also warmly introduce the surrounding environment and attractions, I feel very kind, It is not afraid of being unfamiliar to go out like this. I wanted to live for a day, but now I will go back decisively for a few days."
