The Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village

It's a perfectly good hotel and the amenities are nice, location is great. But due to some construction and renovations indoors on the lobby level -- renovation work we were unaware of when booking the reservation -- the lobby had a VERY strong chemical odor during our entire stay. I don't know if it was paint or cleaners or whatever, but the fumes were positively overwhelming, for all three of us. I asked someone at the front desk about it, and he told us it was due to the construction. Extremely unpleasant. I would be happy to stay here again -- once the renovations are done.

The hotel is old and also under major construction. During the night every time the air conditioning turned off, there was a loud banging noise that made us think the room was being broken into. I’m not sure why it made so much noise, considering the fact that it barely cooled the room. Overall, not a great experience.
