Charles Bridge Palace Prague Reviews

Stayed in Prague for three days and after a long search, I chose this hotel for its excellent location. It's incredibly convenient, right by Charles Bridge and very close to Old Town Square. The duplex room having bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs was a big plus. Breakfast was plentiful, though on the first day there was a queue and many items had run out. Parking at the hotel is quite expensive at 35 euros per day. Another significant downside is the persistent noise from the downstairs bar that goes on late into the night.

The location is fantastic, just a few dozen meters walk from Charles Bridge. The staff were friendly and polite, and the breakfast was abundant and clean. The room even had slippers. The tram tracks are right outside, which you could see as a unique feature, but the downside is the noise. Of course, after a long day of sightseeing, you can just pop in some earplugs and fall right asleep, so it wasn't a big deal. Definitely didn't choose the wrong hotel!

The room is quite spacious with a classic, somewhat rustic decor. Its location is absolutely superb, right next to Charles Bridge, and just a 10-minute walk to Old Town Square, making all the surrounding attractions easily accessible on foot. The only downside to the riverside room is that it faces the street, so there's a bit of noise when the trams go by, but thankfully they stop running after 11 PM. The breakfast offers a great variety, quite extensive compared to other European hotels.

Breakfast was great, and the staff were very friendly. However, even though I left a tip, the cleaning wasn't very thorough, and there was still trash on the floor.

Excellent hotel! The breakfast selection is fantastic, and many items are homemade, which is rare for a hotel. It's very close to Charles Bridge, a must-see attraction, and there are many restaurants nearby. The overall environment is great.

Just wanted to praise my hotel-booking skills after checking in! **Environment:** Right by the Old Bridge, super convenient transportation. The overall style is very classic European, quite ornate and gilded. I booked a suite, and it was very spacious. Both floors had heating, which was a lifesaver for someone who gets cold easily. I arrived in the morning, and they stored my luggage for me. The front desk staff were very friendly. After I mentioned I wouldn't be able to have breakfast the next morning, they arranged a packed breakfast for me, which had a lot of items. Too bad the apple was rotten though. 🥹 Overall, the stay was good. It's a bit of a shame I couldn't have a hot breakfast. Out of my Austria, Hungary, and Czech Republic trip, the Czech Republic had the most Chinese-friendly food.

Do not take the "Economy Double Room". It's an inside room with windows towards an internal walkway. The advertisement showed curtains in front of windows and any reasonable person would expect windows to the outside. Aside from that, the room is fine and functional and sufficiently large. It's OK for one or two nights if one intends to spend most of the time roaming the city. The breakfast is really excellent (by any standard) and it is served in a wonderfully styled room.

The hotel's location is excellent; Charles Bridge is just a right turn when you exit. We booked a family room, which was quite spacious and located on the fourth floor with a nice view. While the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the cleanliness is very good. The hotel breakfast was also great, even for a Chinese palate.
