Albergo Miramare will hands down be our go to hotel in Positano. My husband and I both agree the location of Albergo Miramare is ideal when traveling to Positano. It is located in the middle so you walk down a few flights of stairs from the main road or down several flights to the beach depending on where you are going. Whether you are going up to the main road for dinner or down to the dock for a boat tour, you minimize climbing stairs with this prime location. Don't get me wrong there are stairs on all paths but we found our hotel to be in the best possible spot as opposed to being located at the top of the mountain creating a long climb home each day or at the bottom where you would have a long climb up each day. Beyond the ideal location, here are the other reasons my family will look no further for hotel accommodations when traveling to Positano. Staff: The staff were so easy to communicate with from the very beginning. After booking our apartment for the week, my husband's work conference dates changed in Sicily. I emailed the staff at Albergo Miramare and within hours they adjusted our dates with no issues. Danielle and Nicola were incredible with arranging transfers to and from the airport for my family. They assisted us in chartering a private boat to Capri which was our favorite day of the trip. Every staff member we encountered from reception, porter service , housekeeping and restaurant staff were all friendly and professional. Room: We booked the apartment for our family of four. Our apartment was located across the steps from the reception office and only a few steps up from the hotel restaurant. The apartment had two bedrooms, two full baths, two closets, a small lounge area in the master bedroom and a full living area between the two bedrooms and hallway connecting the two bedrooms. The apartment was spacious and having the full living area was a nice feature when taking breaks from the heat during the day. The air conditioning was of US standard as it really cooled the entire apartment unlike many other air conditioning units we have experienced in our travels abroad. The beds and pillows were soft and comfortable which made for a good nights sleep. Housekeeping changed sheets and replaced towels daily. The private balcony was the icing on the cake for us. It was spacious with two tables for enjoying dinner and four lounge chairs for resting and enjoying the views. The view was so picturesque from our private balcony. Restaurant: The breakfast included in our room rate was served daily from 7:30-10:30 in La Scalinatella. The restaurant was just beautiful with a paper tree draping from the ceiling and walls. The views from the restaurant are the best you will find in Positano. Each morning there was a diverse buffet served with fresh fruit, cooked vegetables, cheese selections, sliced meat selections, eggs (boiled, scrambled and fried), bacon, sausage and hash browns. We booked at Palazzo Margherita about 10 months before they were taken for the summer.......and so glad we did. There were 5 of us (my wife, me, daughter, her husband, and our granddaughter) and we were booked in the Galli apartment. The booking went very well and we received word immediately from Mauro about our stay. Prior to arriving, if we had questions for Mauro, our emails were answered within a day. He's very good at getting back to you with a response. If you have a car (which we did) you will need to book a spot ASAP before the spots very close to the apartment get occupied. Our stay was absolutely remarkable! The apartment had plenty of room for all of us. We had two bedrooms and our granddaughter slept on the pulled out couch. Kitchen has most of everything you need. Even a small washing machine to wash clothes and then hang on a drying rack is there, which was helpful to us. To wake up each morning and have coffee on the balcony overlooking the water and coast is just plain breathtaking! I would sit every morning just enjoying the beauty of the Amalfi Coast!! There is a small grocery store about 50 yards from the apartment which has most of anything you need, just be careful walking....the roads are very curvy and the drivers have no fear. Also, a vegetable/fruit stand is another 30-40 yards past that with some very fresh products for sale. The walk to the beach below is a trek. Lots of stairs to go down and then climb up. Its a pretty treacherous climb but my wife and I were able to do it no more than twice a day (we're both in our mid-60's). Prior to us arriving, we did book with Mauro a full day boat trip to Capri.......if you have the opportunity to do this, DO IT! It was the best part of our stay there! Mauro will take care of everything for you. It was just the five of us and Hermes (the Captain) and the trip lasted the entire day. Of course, being clear, sunny, 85 degrees, on a boat 8 hours with drinks and snacks (supplied by the Captain) sure helped make it a memorable day!! The scenery and Capri will take your breath away! We did not spend any time on the beach but there were many people there enjoying it. The restaurants and stores were very typical touristy places, pricey for the most part, but the food was pretty good. Lots of people in early June so expect the crowds. In summary, I would book again in a blink at the Palazzo Margherita. Loved the apartment, loved the views from the apartment, loved the food in the restaurants, loved the boat ride, and Mauro took good care of us. Thanks to Mauro and Palazzo Margherita for making us happy and leaving us with such great memories of Positano!!

The location of the accommodation is really great!! 👍🏻👍🏻 It's located right in front of the beach, and there's a music bar right in front of the accommodation, so you can listen to good music for free. I wonder if there is any accommodation in Positano with a better location. Air conditioning and refrigeration are both provided. It may be a bit difficult to find the entrance to the accommodation when checking in. The large yellow building is the accommodation, and the entrance is between the accommodation and the restaurant on the left side facing the accommodation. If you go through that iron door, you will find the accommodation! The host is an old lady named Rossa, and although she doesn't speak English very well, she tries to explain things as kindly and easily as possible. When I said I wanted to use porter service on the day of check-out, they made a reservation for me. I was worried because there were a lot of bad reviews, but it was really good. It was the best accommodation, so beautiful and nice. We also upgraded our room. Everyone, make your accommodation reservations :) I miss the kind rossa. The location of the accommodation is really the best!! 👍🏻👍🏻 It is located right in front of the beach, and there is a music bar right in front of the accommodation, so you can listen to good music for free. We come to play in the off-season. There are not many hotels to choose from. When driving and navigating, we can only find directions. There is a one-way line in front of the door. We cannot park. The hotel stops at the designated parking lot. Hotel rooms are ok, ocean view rooms with small terraces, breakfasts are not many but they are good. It is still not recommended to live in Positano during the off-season. It is too depressed at night and there are few restaurants open. There is no one on the sea breeze on the street. Walking to the restaurant recommended by the hotel on the beach requires self-stories. It should be better to live in Almafi, and the surrounding Positano Ravello Suriento has enough time for the day to play

The staff was PHENOMENAL! Tiziana was the ultimate host and was so great communicating with us! Just a simple text away and always responsive. She helped us coordinate transfers to and from the airport, dinner reservations, and so much more! Also, the rest of the staff kept the facilities so clean and were always wearing a smile on their faces. They made each day so bright and we appreciated them so much. Everyone at Villa Mary made our stay so EASY & most importantly, relaxing. We traveled to Positano for our honeymoon and stayed in the Diana suite where the views were spectacular and unmatched. Such a spacious room and breakfast on the terrace each morning was the ultimate plus. - we felt so luxurious. (Also, HUGE bathroom with a big tub). If we ever get the chance to go back to Positano, we will most definitely be staying at Villa Mary again. See you soon! Lacy & Devin

Seven of us from Canada thought this B and B was fantastic, amazing view, the grounds are well groomed. Our hosts Ana and Felix were so awesome, friendly, provided great service and very helpful. There were lots of great options for breakfast. The rooms were great, they have a mini bars, a nice little sitting area in front of the rooms that provided a beautiful view of the ocean, also, a sitting area where you can buy drinks at their bar. It was just a short walk into the main area where there was lots of shopping and restaurants. I would highly recommend this B and B for your next vacation stay.
