Family-friendly Hotels in Porto

- large room space, but washroom design could be improved, need space to put essential stuff - near train station, however, the road is under construction - service is good and breakfast is at entry floor

This hotel is in an excellent location, with a pedestrian street to the north, the cathedral and Douro River to the south, and Livraria Lello to the west. It is only a 5-minute walk from the train station, the most beautiful McDonald's, and the most beautiful cafe. It can be said to be the focal point of Porto. The hotel's interior is dark and simple, but if you look closely, you will find designs everywhere. It can be considered a design hotel. The windows are especially interesting. One tip: there are no curtains. The front desk and the bicycle-themed lobby bar are full of humor. The room is not big, but the bathroom is large, which is also a very modern and practical concept. There is an old restaurant downstairs in the adjacent hotel, where you can enjoy Portuguese breakfast, French girl, Befana, and extremely sweet desserts. Although the taste is a bit strong, it is very typical and worth a try.

Modern fresh and clean hotel. This hotel is centrally located 10 min walk from Porto. Rooms are small and very well equipped. It has everything that you require. Bar and choice of beverages is of a high standrard. We ate in the hotel restaurant and I have to say it was the best meal that we had in Porto we were delighted.

Very good hotel, the guy at the front desk answered questions patiently and lent me multiple adapter charging cables. The hotel is in a good location, there are clothing and bag stores and bus stops within walking distance. It's a pity that I didn't have time to go shopping because of the rush. I will come again next time

What a royal style! I really like the interior design and the elevator is so interesting! Great location, walking distance to main attractions. Breakfast is good too! There is a complimentary tasting of Porto grape liqueur at the front desk and a lounge with coffee and other refreshments.

I liked the most among European hotels I went to this time on my honeymoon. It's a small but lovely and very pretty hotel. When I was curious, it was said that it was built in 1829, but it is in excellent condition. It was rather antique and very good. When you open the window, the view is so pretty as if it were in a fairy tale. In the plaza in front, they perform performances, and they are gathered right in front of the bar restaurant, so the location is the best. If I go back to Porto, I will definitely stay at this hotel!! (Breakfast is tidy, but there are too few eggplants.)

We stayed 9 nights at this Eurostar hotel on the river Douro. The biggest annual festival in the city was on 23/06, so the hotel was full and we were only able to book the standard room. This was actually perfect, and we had everything we needed and expected. Porto is thriving at the moment, and there’s loads of hotels to chose from, so the main points here to note are; Most of the rooms here have a direct river view which is fantastic The hotel roof terrace was closed for maintenance during our stay. There’s no bar there, so I don’t think it’s used much, which was disappointing The main bridge and tourist area is located about 500 steps away, so it’s perfectly positioned close, but not too close There’s LOADS of building work’s going on in the city centre at present including across the bridge itself. No works are near this hotel, and the soundproofing is very good. We were not bothered by the road We went in the hotel bar one night. Although the area is not particularly luxurious, the staff were lovely and very friendly For the price, we had a great stay. Thank you!

This is an apartment-style hotel. According to the hotel staff, the construction began in the 18th century, and the exact date is unknown. Once used as the police station archives, it shouldn't take long to transform it into a hotel. Location: Five stars, walk 2-3 minutes on the right hand to the intersection, left hand downhill is the Louis Bridge, right hand uphill 2-300 meters is the Sao Benedict Railway Station, you can go to Lisbon from this, 2-300 meters forward is the Church of St. Francis , Go to the main attractions within 1000 meters. Settings: Five-star reduction, duplex suite, full Elex wash, kitchen equipment, but less coffee. Breakfast: Four-star, three waiters make on-site, bread, ham, and egg tarts are available. It is quite family-like, not like the variety of hotels.

An obvious first class hotel. The room was exceptionally appointed and very spacious. The bathroom was stunning with all marble, separate water closet, shower and double sink vanity. Two closets for hanging and multiple drawers. Very quiet when windows were closed but opened to get the Porto city vibe, when desired. Great location and easily walkable to river or around town. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The hotel team was gracious and helpful. The gym was small but had everything you needed to maintain some workout routine on vacation! We didn't enjoy the spa but toured it, including the indoor pool, and it was beautiful. The bar was cozy for a pre-evening drink and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel as it will make your Porto experience one to remember!

Even prior to arriving the Torel team was prompt and effective in arranging transportation from the train station and responsive to all requests. The apartment units are generous and beautifully equipped with all the touches that make these hotels superlative in the attention to detail, be it decor, quality of robes and towels and the extra services like the guided walking tour on Saturday mornings. I had the pleasure of a private tour with a masters student Francisco Lopes who provides an insightful and unique experience derived from his combined geography and cultural and environmental heritage studies and research in support of his theses. The 2 hours easily stretched to almost 3 which flew by and I came away enriched with a better understanding of the rich and complex culture of Porto. I highly recommend taking advantage of this service offered by the hotel or asking at reception for Francisco’s contact information to make your own arrangements. I know when I am back next , I will do so and hopefully find out how his doctoral studies are proceeding at that time.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. To both my guide and the hotel. After a long travel day, I ate at the hotel restaurant Bartolomeu after settling in to my rooms, and was so impressed by the food, the menu and impeccable, personable ( shout out Philipa ✨👌🏼) that I went back every night to sample all of the perfectly proportioned and uniquely delicious dishes on offer.
