Book this hotel is due to great deal on the google search pop up. $450 CAD for two nights. Location is at DT Portland, however Portland have lots homeless everywhere in DT. We don't feel safe to park our vehicle on the street. Breakfast is included and with hot free made omelet, this is one of the Hilton Hotel high light. There is additional $8 USD charge on the card the Hotel will not tell you.

Very disappointing stay – not what you expect from Hilton
Unfortunately, our stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Portland was very disappointing.
• The room was not clean enough.
• The air conditioner was extremely loud. We had to turn it off to sleep, and then the room became freezing cold.
• The sofa bed was extremely uncomfortable — you can literally feel the metal frame in your back.
• The King bed was sagging and very uncomfortable.
• Because it was winter, there should have been a thicker or warmer blanket, but there wasn’t. We were cold all night, and everyone got sick with body aches.
• Not even one complimentary bottle of water was provided. Water in the room costs $5.
• No slippers in the room, not even disposable ones.
• No laundry bag in the room.
• When hot water was poured into the cardboard cup they provided, it leaked and the bottom came off.
The hotel layout is very confusing. We couldn’t even find the pool or jacuzzi — signage and directions are very poor.
We couldn’t use the lobby restroom. When we asked the front desk, they said, “The door sometimes gets stuck,” but made no effort to help.
There were very few staff around — it felt like the hotel was understaffed or unattended.
TV services require personal subscriptions; otherwise, everything is paid.
Pillows caused serious neck pain.
Breakfast area feels like a converted shelter or basement. If you have claustrophobia, forget it.
Food quality is much lower than advertised — no honey at all, frozen bagels, and the toaster takes forever. By 9:00 AM, most items were already gone. They said “water,” but there was none. It’s no different from a basic complimentary breakfast. The only good thing was the omelet station, because it was freshly made.
Location-wise, for the price, it’s not terrible — about a 30-minute walk to Moda Center. However, in cold weather, you must cross a bridge and walk along the river, so dressing very warmly is essential.
Do not walk late at night. You have to use stairs from the bridge into Old Town, which felt unsafe. Even during daytime, while walking with my family, we were approached and asked if we wanted to buy *****. I would be lying if I said we didn’t feel scared.
The area around the hotel looks abandoned, with homeless people on almost every corner.
The night we stayed, we heard gunshots — 7 or 8 times — coming from the street right in front of the hotel.
This stay was far below Hilton standards, and I would not recommend it to families or anyone looking for comfort and safety.

Location is fine, but there are a lot of homeless people near hotel. Room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was really really good. The bad thing is that there is no free parking (they offer $59 valet parking which is super expensive). If you’re lucky you will find some free overnight parking spots near hotel (it’s free from 7pm to 8am). So I would recommend this hotel if you’re traveling without car.

It’s an old hotel…, in downtown.
It’s close to Apple store.., like 10-15 minutes walking.
Good room.., I got a Studio King suite.
No problems with the elevators..
Very good breakfast.. (tasty omelet).
There are some beggars sleeping (inhabiting) the sidewalks around the hotel.
I’d stay again..!!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of downtown Portland with the unhoused living along the streets. Downtown has sadly lost its beauty it once had.

It is located in the city center, so it is convenient to walk, public transportation, and Uber. The building itself is large, the lobby is also large, and the rooms are also large. The bathroom floor was sticky. All the staff were friendly and nice. The building itself is old, but the atmosphere is nice.

The hotel is relatively old, very stylish, with a western restaurant, which is quite convenient. The facilities are relatively simple, and there is not even a toothbrush cup. You have to call to get one. I probably won't book here next time.

The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the train station and Greyhound bus station. The breakfast is great, with a wide variety of dishes, including freshly fried omelette. The luggage storage service is also good!

The room was so-so; it had shampoo and shower gel, but nothing else. The sofa bed felt like sleeping on springs.
