We stayed at the Island Pongwe Lodge during our honeymoon. We arrived really late at night due to a flight delay. Even though they welcomed us very friendly with some coconut water and sandwiches. The whole staff (including the managers) was super polite and very obliging. Especially Frank helped us a lot with every question we had, without being intrusive! It was such a nice place to relax and enjoy some privacy. We really enjoyed staying there and would definitely come back. It was above and beyond our imaginations.

We won a trip here and when we managed to get there, we were absolutely amazed! The scene was fascinating, the ocean was crystal clear and the hosts were really nice and helpful! They waited for us with fresh coconut. The Island has a really special, private athmosphere, you can enjoy your time with your loved one in a perfect, little paradise. I also have to mention the food, which was delicious in the restaurant, where there was a huge variety of seafood. Lobster tail was one of our favourites! :) Another great experience for us was sailing with the local sailing boat and snorkeling. Margarita and the team, thank you so much for everything!

Thank you for helping us celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary with such warmth and open arms. The food was delicious - we enjoyed the seafood platter for two, pasta bolognese, and my son enjoyed the steak.

Fabulous Family trip to the island at Pongwe. Such a unique destination. I feel it would be unfair to single out individual members of staff as all of the staff were absolutely fabulous and made you feel very special very welcome and very well cared for. The accommodation and food were excellent we would highly recommend this place and will definitely return

Magical place- from the moment we arrived the service and food were amazing. Thanks to Frank1 and Frank 2 for the Swahili lessons. Thanks to the amazing chef who cooked us fresh food everyday to a very high standard and to Juma,Rama and Anna to name a few for the big smiles, chat and service. Beautiful beaches surround the hotel, take a trip on a Dhow boat and go snorkelling. Missing you Pongwe island and thanks for treating us like family.

Nice place but staff is depressing. They stole my phone, refused to return it to me, I complained to the police and went with the police and the lawyer there. The manager refused to provide the police with the recording of the cameras, saying that they were defective. A base attitude for a manager

No words can tell what you feel in this place! Straight when you arrive the time just stop and the space becomes bigger or infinite like the ocean! The team is absolutely amazing: every one so helpful and lovely. From Franck who welcomed us and teached me the Boa game to Irina and John at the desk point. About the food, I really had my best breakfast guacamole toast!!! The chef is absolutely gorgeous, every meal is so good!!! The restaurant team is very professional and welcoming, specially Ana Benad and Sabass. You feel in a secure place and it's definitely the best place to chill in front of the beauty of ocean!!! Congratulations to all the team for making true a dream. We will come back for sure!

Beautiful secluded island with private beach and great food. Shout out to Regina, Leonard and Irene for amazing service! The live music was also so memorable…as well as the performance from the Masai - loved it!
