During my stay, I encountered significant challenges, particularly in dealing with an individual named Pawan. It became apparent that Pawan held a key role, possibly directly connected to the hotel's owner. The issue arose due to the Indian government's restriction on international card transactions to Nepal and Bhutan. Despite my willingness to settle the payment for the Suite room I had booked, Pawan's handling of the situation was less than satisfactory. When I tried to check out, my card didn't work, making settling the payment complicated. The hotel's payment link didn't work, and the same link, requested by a friend in the US, failed with the same security concerns. Additionally, trying to arrange payment through Western Union faced obstacles because Pawan insisted that I personally go to Western Union to collect the amount, despite being a foreigner. I managed to pay the amount from US transaction, but still Pawan remained inflexible, insisting on a rigid process and expressing that he would not permit my check-out until he received a credit message confirming payment. Despite providing transaction details and confirmation numbers, Pawan was uncooperative and insisted that I handle the situation personally. After persistent efforts and negotiation, I managed to convince Pawan to contact the local bank with the confirmation number. Finally, after the bank confirmed the transaction, I was allowed to check out. The entire experience was needlessly complicated, and Pawan's approach towards accommodating a foreign guest left much to be desired, causing frustration and inconvenience during my stay.
