Hotel Silver Oaks Inn

The hotel offers helpful staff, clean rooms, and reliable WiFi. It also provides breakfast, with warm enough shower water. The location is excellent, just next to the shopping streets and only an 8-minute walk to the lakeside. Btw, cute dogs are available here ❤️

This was the most terrifying experience I've ever had in a hotel, being a nomad of 9 years spanning across 34 countries. The owner is a predator, he was whispering through the door coaxing my 3-year-old to open the door and come out while I was asleep. Luckily I woke up and stopped him. They also advertise bathtubs in every room and a restaurant, when in reality neither of those exist. It's a mere wet bathroom with a toilet that doesn't flush properly, I kept being told it was fixed, but it never flushed. I had to urgently leave for another hotel to keep my children safe. They even had the audacity of declining my request for a refund of the 2 nights I didn't even stay there. I hope nobody has to experience their children being targeted in this way, this is a warning to women and families with children - THIS IS NOT A SAFE PLACE.

An entrance looks nice and bring back memory of a British period in India. The room itself is small with nothing special inside and a bed that seems to occupy most of the space in the room. A good place to stay before leaving to Annapurna.

This is a cute little hotel with a beautiful garden area for sitting and relaxing. The manager is very helpful and friendly as were the other staff members. Comfortable bed. Good hot shower. The ceiling fan kept the room cool and fly screens meant the windows could stay opened. Drinking water is also supplied. Close to everything but set back off the street so it's quiet.

The hotel staff are so kind, and the dog at the reception is so cute 😌
