HillHouse Plovdiv

This is a beautiful hotel in a prime location in Plovdiv. From HillHouse, it’s very convenient to visit all the tourist sights on foot. We had a spacious, clean, and comfortable room. The shower was fantastic. The room was nicely decorated and created a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast buffet is extensive with lots of options to choose from. The staff at the hotel is very helpful and welcoming. We also met the owner, a fantastic person with a big heart and a great smile. From HillHouse it's a 2min walk to the Kapana neighborhood with its many funky restaurants and bars. If HillHouse Plovdiv is available, do not look further. This boutique hotel is a gem. I look forward to staying there again on my next trip to Plovdiv.

I don't have enough good things to say about Hill House. Almost everything was perfect. The location can't be beat with all the main areas less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Convenient and free parking is arranged at a lot which is a 30 second walk from the hotel. The rooms are all recently remodeled in an extremely modern and tasteful way. The beds/pillows are incredibly comfortable, and I've had the best sleep of my 3 week vacation at this place. And the staff could not be friendlier. Slavcho was very hospitable, and gave wonderful recommendations as to how to spend my time in Plovdiv. I was only planning to stay one night in Plovdiv, but I liked the hotel so much, that I extended my stay by an extra day.

Very well designed rooms and extremely clean. Breakfast is enough and very tasty. Staff and owner are very friendly and always will help you. Location is perfect for visiting city center and especially old town. 2-3 minutes walk to Kapana.

This hotel is a real hidden gem, the staff are so friendly and the hotel is so clean and very modern. Breakfast was really nice good and a good selection for every palettes. We stayed in a room out front with balcony and it was so picturesque with the church across street. Highly recommend this place for a stay.

It's a pleasure to leave a review for HillHouse Hotel, Plovdiv which we've recently stayed at. We wanted a couple of nights to explore Plovdiv on our way back from a ski-holiday in the Rhodope Mountains before driving to Sofia and our flight home. I'm bound to say HillHouse Hotel, and Plovdiv itself are both gems. We arrived at the hotel and although there is no specific parking, it is opposite a secure car park which was, by UK standards, very reasonably priced, or the proprietors did say we'd have had a good chance of finding street-parking nearby at no cost. The hotel is positioned at the meeting point of the old town and the restaurant/artist quarter, and the main shopping area is also only a two-minute walk. The hotel has an old/historic facade, fully in keeping with its location, yet once through the door you realise this is a modern and well fitted hotel with lush furnishing and decoration. The rooms continue the clean and slick theme, with clearly new fittings, shower rooms, beds and furnishing etc. Balconies in our and our kids’ rooms looked across to the building of the nearby historic area. Free Wi-fi (an absolute essential for my kids) was all good, and the rooms were equipped with satellite TVs that are enabled for YouTube etc. Staff were friendly, and the maid service discreet and efficient. The breakfast offered (a help yourself buffet of both hot and cold typical 'continental breakfast' items) met with our approval, and the machine coffee was splendid too. And beyond the scope of this review perhaps, but two days in Plovdiv simply wasn't enough to explore this town, so steeped in history, so we'll certainly be revisiting Plovdiv and Hillhouse Hotel again. So it's full marks for every aspect of this hotel. And thank you for your hospitality.

Situated perfect in a new building in or on the absolute border of the old town this is a great place to stay. Fresh rooms, a good breakfast, parking on the street or parking by reservation on a 24h guarded parking lot 30 m from the hotel entrance. Couldn't complain about anything. I would stay here again if going to Plovdiv.

Hillhouse is a charming B&B style hotel in an excellent location. It is at the very start of The Old Town and within a couple of minutes from the Kapana, (small bars and restaurants) area and the main shopping area. The whole place was spotlessly clean and very modern. We had the balcony room which was spacious with a really good shower room. The breakfast room is light and bright and there is plenty of choice for a good breakfast to set you up for the day. Staff on reception were available until 8pm. They were very helpful with local information and for booking taxis and transfers. It was lovely to speak with all of them. We wanted to stay ab extra day and they arranged to transfer our luggage while we were out for the day. If we ever go back to Plovdiv we will definitely be staying at Hillhouse

Amazing property on the edge of the old town. You can walk everywhere in Plovdiv. Incredible value, lovely staff, immaculate room, very reasonable mini bar, good breakfast. All good

A great place in great location! At the edge of Old Town right next to the newer town and artsy Kapana district. A completely renovated building with outstanding rooms, staff and breakfast. Not that I really needed an apartment to myself, but coming back to a suite that felt like home after enjoying the sights and dealing with the cobble streets of the really Old Town. A big screen TV in both rooms, even with Netflix. Slavi also booked private transfers to an from Bucharest. A bit of a splurge but so worth it to not have to deal with public transit that’s iffy at best. He also booked me on a fantastic half day tour of Bachkovo Monastery and Asen’s Fortress. He made my life so much easier. Thanks Slavi.
