My husband and I were lucky enough to stay 3 nights in The Old Rectory. It is a really beautiful historic hotel with lots of interesting parts to it. Our room was upstairs with a view looking over the garden and pool. There is no lift but the hotel staff carried the suitcases up and down. The room was very well equipped, clean and comfortable and we loved the open plan idea. Breakfast was good and they will provide a lot more than what appears on the menu, if you ask. We loved the open fire at night where we could sit and enjoy drinks from the bar and chat to some of the other guests.

We enjoyed a lovely 3 nights at The Old Rectory. Fantastic location close to the stunning Plettenberg Bay beaches & close to lots of good restaurants and the town. The hotel is stunning - a tranquil oasis! Very relaxing & chilled atmosphere. Lovely bar and public areas. Staff very professional and attentive - nothing too much trouble. Our room (Luxury Suite) was fabulous - spacious, very comfortable with its own private outside garden / seating area. We enjoyed an excellent dinner in the hotel restaurant one evening (Restaurant 1777). Limited breakfast menu was the only possible downside altho coffee was first class! In summary, a fantastic, memorable experience & highly recommended.

Clean and smart hotel, great staff. Short walk to nearest restaurant at the beach. Town a 5 minute drive but not walkable at night, nice shops and restaurants there. Had a nice meal in the hotel restaurant, and breakfast was good. Ask for alternatives to the hot menu if thats what you would like, staff were happy to help. Overall a comfortable stay.

This is a lovely historic hotel. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and lovely. We enjoyed our brief stay and were unfortunately only passing through. We would have liked to have stayed longer. The food was delicious as well.

We absolutely loved every minute of our stay at the Old Rectory. The staff went out of their way to assist us any time we had a query - making recommendations and even going so far as to take my husband to the local IT store when my computer cable broke! The room was gorgeous and the food outstanding.

We keep on going back to the Old Rectory, because the Staff is always so welcoming and the facilities are kept in mint condition. The property is centrally located and we love going for walks on the beach. If you want to relax and have privacy this is the place to go to.
