Hotels near Museo Atlantico Underwater Museum, Playa Blanca

This is not one of my normal reviews as I try to keep things fairly succinct. The not so good part, all four of us contracted an aggressive virus with sickness and diarrhea which we reported to reception. We now know it was nothing to do with the hotel's standards of cleanliness, as reading the reviews from the Barcello, the same virus was spreading between guests at that hotel, although they were blaming the hotel. Reception was a bit slow in responding, but once the Manager got involved things really did happen. We were in club Volcan on a bed and breakfast basis and I know we paid more for that privilege, but it was worth every penny, 54 rooms, adults only with other benefits, free gratis afternoon prosecco, tea and sandwiches, then bar from 6.30-8.00pm. I cannot fault the hotel in any way, everything was perfect and the staff were amazing. You know you are somewhere special, as when things go wrong someone steps up and sorts things out as best they can. So I take my hat off to Frederick Rodriguez Marti and all his staff who absolutely looked after us in our days of need. The holiday was rescued and we will certainly be back at Hotel Livvo and I wished I could have given them 6 stars.

One of the nicest places we have stayed. Very clean, tidy, friendly & accommodating all round. For context, myself & my partner are 30 & 33years old & we came for 10 nights over Christmas & new year. The hotel staff are so friendly from the front desk to the waiters & waitresses & all the cleaning staff too, anything you may need they will do their utmost to help. The food was great, a wide variety catering for all types of eaters. Breakfast lunch & dinner plus the pool bar food were all well presented & had clean food areas. The Christmas gala & New Year’s Eve gala/party were exceptional, the staff and hotel really put on a fantastic show. The gala buffet food was great & the new years buffet the same, so much to choose from. The party which was thrown NYE was brilliant, 3 different types of musical entertainment which really got the guests up and dancing. A huge variety of drinks, we were amazed at how much was included in the all inclusive. The Wi-Fi is amazing throughout the hotel, bars & restaurants, pool & sunbed area, I’ve used zero data!! Sun beds by the pool are really comfortable, towels provided in your rooms too! They have brilliant entertainment on during the day by the pool & in the evening by the pool bar, singers, musicians & groups. We’ve seen reviews which are contradictory to what we’ve written here but everyone has individual views of what a fantastic holiday should be & we can only say brilliant things about H10 white suits & we would definitely come again & also highly recommend!

This was our fourth visit to Princesa Yaiza and it never fails to disappoint. We visited with my husband and two kids (4 &1), my dad and my brother and his girlfriend. There really is something for everyone! The hotel is luxurious, comfortable and clean and the staff are all so welcoming and helpful. The kids loved the soft play, playgrounds, pools and the beach. They really had the times of their lives. We enjoyed how family friendly the hotel is and the comfort of the room, the food and the chilled atmosphere. We already can’t wait to go back!

The Mynd Yaiza this year was too expensive ., even though we got extra money of 540 euros for only having our room cleaned once. You get more money if you choose to not get your room cleaned . Checkin was quick, so quick he forgot to tell us the different dinner and breakfast arrangements and the guy wasn't informative enough. The pools were always fairly empty as it was too freezing cold to swim in. Needs to be a heated pool there. The weather didn't help. We had rain, wind and sand from the desert. But also sun and warmth most days. Dining... better with the buffets.. food was OK. Desserts delicious. It cost 31 euros each out of our allowance and we had to carry around a big piece of paper with our calculations, minuses for food, signed and checked every day. A bit unprofessional. Most staff are friendly and helpful but not all. Some treat you like children and say eg. Blackboard at the pool bar, she said ”SPANISH THIS SIDE, ENGLISH THIS SIDE... doh, yes I can see that. Too far from centre. Unsafe dining chairs, we saw 2 people lean back and the backs fell off. Dining room too dark. Entertainment poor. Layout in foyer all wrong. Not enough seating. No wifi signal on phone in . bedroom Too cold in the foyer and bedroom. Air con wouldn't turn up. We had extra blankets but cold when coming out of shower. Good points... Good powerful shower, comfy beds,friendly barstaff and reception. Free smoothies, Irish coffees etc Benefits of not having room cleaned every day. Apartment very good on 1st floor Clean areas Don't think we'll return.

We stayed for 8 nights from end of September to beginning of October, myself my partner and our 3 kids, 10years , 8years & 1 year old, staff are lovely, and very welcoming, we had a wonderful time in the water park, and pools were kept very clean, rooms are good bedding and towels, bins were changed everyday apart from Friday I think, food was fantastic lots of different options for everyone, and outside bar food & snacks was brilliant for kids, staff in supermarket next door was very nice and helpful, kids loved the games in the game room, we didn't stay out for the night entertainment as kids were wrecked come evening time, there was a bus to and from the town/ beach, would definitely recommend

We had a nice clean appartement which was very spacious. The bed is really good, very soft and we slept like babies. Bathroom was nothing special but clean which is the most important thing. Breakfast is a bit on the expensive side. (8,- for 2 small orange juice). The staff was friendly. We would’ve liked to stay longer but unfortunately it was fully booked. The only downside was the 100,- borg that has to be payed with creditcard as we didn’t have one but we got the appartement anyway. I recommended this place to others if they’re looking to relaxed without the screams from tourists. If you read this as a tourist please keep this beautiful island clean and show your respect. (We walked around with an empty bag picking up trash along the road)

Mostly positive but some *******… Firstly check in was nice and smooth, given a glass of bubbly on arrival and taken to our room on a golf buggy as complex is huge! Room really nice size and perfect for us (2 adults and 19 month old). Travel cot provided, real let down is the beds as they are 2 large camp beds which are really not comfortable and very noisy. Not at all suitable. We had a problem with the air con and it took 8 calls and visits to the reception to get sorted. Once maintenance had fixed was working fine for the rest of our stay. Due to the issue taking two days to be resolved guest services offered us all inclusive (we were half board) which was a nice touch and much appreciated. Hotel is lovely. Very big with plenty of pools but be warned they are quite cold even the heated one! Nice play area for the kids and mini golf which our son loved! Ironing board supplied on request but was a tiny desk top one which legs kept falling so wasn’t useable at all, iron pretty crap too! Tv in room was very temperamental with some of the channels not working or the Ariel not having signal 50% of the time. Food was fairly decent with quite a lot of choice although was a little repetitive on a few nights. Drinks choice is really good and the piano bar do lovely cocktails actually in glasses which is a rarity in an all inclusive hotel sometimes!! Hotel is in a fairly remote location with not much around so be prepared to take a taxi or bus to the town which is about 10 mins away (€5 taxi). Playa Blanca is ok, plenty of souvenir shops and supermarkets and a shopping centre. Beach road is a nice little walk with some beach bars offering plenty of choice for meals. The hotel is 4 star on jet2 but it seems they rate themselves as a 5 star but they are not quite there yet.
