5 Star Hotels in Playa Blanca

We had a great stay, some downsides of cockroaches in the room (something which is ”normal” in Lanzarote according to the locals), so we changed rooms (with a little grimacing), this being the case we found some others in our new room with two single beds instead of a double bed which was our request on booking. Another downside in the room where we were we heard a lot of the pulling of chairs or other things like a move every evening and in the morning the waking up of the cleaning ladies (whom I respect for the thankless work they do) who pull their cleaning trolleys from 7:00 a.m. and which will inevitably wake you up. The good points, the excellent breakfast which is of great variety, we cannot judge the restaurant as we have not tried it. The swimming pool and the setting are really very beautiful. Small mention to Sabine, with whom we spoke at length, who gave us a lot of advice and was extremely kind.

We last visited this hotel in 2016 and it is still as good today as it was then. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained and represents all that is typical Canarian style with a colonial feel. It deserves its 5 star raiting. We only stayed bed and breakfast as we had done before as the choices of restaurants to eat in the area are in abundance and most of good quality. We ate in the Italian and Tappanyaki twice during our stay and they were both amazing, good food and excellent service. It was our daughters 40th birthday and honeymoon and the hotel went above and beyond to add in extra treats for them both- so thank you. A special mention must go to Limone who is part of the concierge service an outstanding attribute to the hotel one of the most hard working and happy members of the team. To Antonio the animation team manager for providing our afternoon quizzes around by the pool. He was kind and calm and not intrusive in his approach which is what you want , no pressure to join in but thoughtful in his manner. To the whole team at the hotel - thank you and see you next year.

Meant to post a review earlier, as have been back 3 weeks now. Anyway ... a really great place to holiday. First time AI for us and it worked, although enhanced by the option to dine a la carte on three of our eight nights. Suite/room 1812 was spacious and clean, a great big huge comfy bed and fresh bottles of water provided every day (not sure if this was `normal` as our friends in other rooms didn't receive this). Some sort of entertainment provided most days. We went out of school holidays so only adults and very young children were here ... wouldn't consider a return in school holidays. Main buffet restaurant always had a varied menu on offer with something to suit most people. A la carte restaurants too, steak option really poor (occasion spoiled by rude manager and some staff who blamed us when the food order they had taken was wrong), Asian restaurant very good as was the Italian. Day time pool side snack bar used often too for quick drink service and various snacks (filled baguettes, sandwiches etc). Only issue, no bar service `permitted` on top floor in main entertainment bar/lounge area and despite there being numerous waiters, never enough staff, service took an age ... usually 45 mins or more to get a drink. They need to get this sorted out. Allocate a set area for cocktails and the main bar and servers to the rest of the drinks. Short taxi ride in to the nearest town, if you fancy a change of scenery with a few bars and restaurants. Overall, a good holiday destination, and with some improvements (sort out snail-like check-in and slow bar service) it could be just right.

We stayed on the Premium Suits (adult only) side of the hotel. 2024 was our second year here. The hotel is just so welcoming, every member of staff greets you with a smile, and are so helpful. No one puts themselves above anyone else they all work together as a team in order to make sure that your holiday is the best it can be. Your bags are taken to your rooms upon arrival, and the potential of your stay in this great village resort is explained by the wonderful reception team. If your staying in the premium suits, then you have access to your own restaurant for breakfast and dinner. Dependent on the style of holiday you have booked, the resort will allow you to choose at least one evenings dinning at one of three restaurants. This is well worth doing, especially the Italian option. During the day you have an option to lounge by the adults only pool and eat from the accompanying bar. This offers not only lovely food, but also great entertainment in the form of the greatest team I have ever seen. Chuss and Maylin absolutely make the place everything that it is. All the team work extremely hard, but these two will have you laughing all day long. In the evenings after dinner you have a choice to make, you can go back and sit outside your room on your patio, you can enjoy the main entertainment lounge or bar area. Or if you prefer something a little more personal then stay upstairs and enjoy a drink and live music from a local performer. Labranda suite hotel alyssa- After a disappointing and disgusting holiday last year in a different hotel (rubicon palace) We did not know what to expect once booking this hotel. This has been one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in after travelling many places around the world. Staff was always greeting with smiles and they went above and beyond to meet our expectations to ensure we had a brilliant family holiday. This is the first time on all holidays we have not had to worry about getting a sun bed what a breathe of fresh air to go to breakfast at 8:30/9:00 and not 1 single towel was reserving a sun bed! Food had a lot less options than previous hotels but the standard of food and the temperature (hot) was amazing. Fresh pizzas and fresh pasta station for our daughter was top class. Our room was 411 we loved it, spacious and enjoyed how close we were to everything always cleaned daily to a high standard. We throughly enjoyed our holiday and the people we met whilst we were there, we were absolutely gutted when our holiday was over but already looking at returning! Thank you!!!
