We stayed at the Springhill Suites February 12-14 to attend a competition at the Ford Center. We arrived early so I figured the room would not be ready, so we waited in the lobby while the clerk put a rush on a room for us. Everyone was nice to us during our entire stay and very helpful. The place was very clean and the room was well appointed with amenities and very spacious. The staff there all seemed like they actually wanted us to be there and weren't just working to get a check. We attempted to leave to catch our plane at 3AM Monday morning. I was devastated to see that our rental car had a flat tire. Hertz could only call Triple A, but warned that they could not give a time estimate and it may take a while. I frantically tried to change to the spare myself. I quickly realized that I didn't know what I was doing. I walked back inside the hotel and asked Wesley Delany, at the front desk if he knew of any place open or anyone that could help us. With a smile on his face he said yes, he can help us. I was shocked and so grateful. He spent the next hour on the cold ground putting our spare tire on. We ran into all kinds of problems, but he kept at it and got us rolling again. We would never have made our flight without his help! And he was nice the ENTIRE time. He could have easily told us no, like 2 other people did. I hope that a manager sees this review and gets Wesley a bonus/raise because he truly deserves it! Every time we stay in that area we will definitely be back at this hotel because the entire staff at this location was phenomenal. Thank you!

Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center

I stayed here during my total knee replacement. The Marriott went out of their way to make sure I had a wheelchair available. Lisa at the Front Desk was exceptional to make sure we got a good room and had everything we needed. During a shift change in the lobby/bar she noticed us waiting and took our order and placed it for us. That is going above and beyond. It was disappointing to never see or hear anyone show up in the room that we had. I would definitely stay here again. It's very close to Texas Health Plano where I had my surgery and was easy for family to go back and forth from the hospital. The only minor negative feedback would be the sliding glass doors were very dirty and bathrooms weren't clean that well during our stay. We did extend our stay but our room category was booked so we had to switch to the room next door. Having a walker and a wheelchair, it was a challenge. We had a late checkout and a new room, so we had to pay the full price for one room and late checkout for the other. That wasn't so great.

Extended Stay America Suites Dallas Plano Parkway

First of all, we wanted to mention that the staff did everything they could to make our stay better. Unfortunately the owners/management of the hotel didn’t give them enough to work with. While the hotel is basically clean, our room looked pretty beat up and had a lot of problems: (1) lots of dings and dents on doors, cabinets and furniture (see pics); (2) there were bugs and roaches running around; (3) and worst of all, a leak under the kitchen sink that had been going on so long it warped the cabinet under the sink and provided a nasty smell. When we had the hotel maintenance man take a look, he said the drain had never been installed properly so had been leaking obviously for months. We couldn’t believe no one else had noticed this before. We selected this hotel based on a booking site (Agoda) and we put in that we needed a breakfast Buffett. Unfortunately their idea of breakfast is a few muffins wrapped in cellophane along with a few breakfast bars. When we asked, the staff said it was because of “Covid”. That’s interesting because we’ve visited at least 5 other hotels in the last 3 months and they ALL have normal breakfast buffets now - this reeks of a cop out by Extended Stay. As we mentioned the staff did everything they could to overcome the problems and were very courteous. Unfortunately the owner/operator if this property apparently don’t share that same concern. This property needs help !

Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Plano/Legacy

My husband and I live in the local area and stayed here 10 nights while we were having a remodeling project done on our house. We really enjoyed our stay. The one-bedroom suite was enough space for us and for him to do remote work. Housekeeping service comes in every 3 days and changes bedsheets, vacuums, empties trash, restocks itrms. But if you need items in between those cleanings, the front desk will provide. Breakfast is available every morning, and there is a nice selection - eggs, potatoes, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, sausage, bagels, etc. There was a swimming pool, which was clean and maintained and laundry facilities on the 2nd floor. I would certainly stay here again if a need arises.

Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Plano/Richardson

I am currently staying at this property and have been here nearly 3 weeks after relocating from Ohio. I selected this property because of the location. It is in a new area (very safe) just NE of 75 and 190. Transportation pros: It's ON 190 (Bush). I can exit the hotel and jump on 190 without waiting at a light, then I can go any direction very quickly. If I want to head east, there is a u-turn bypass to head east on 190. Again, no light. It's just ridiculously convenient to everything. If I wanted to, the Cityline stop on DART is just a minute away and it is a safe station. You can get all the way to DFW on the DART rail, FYI. Meals, food, and extras pros: Almost directly across the highway is Cityline. Whole Foods and tons of restaurant options. There is a massive city park right there with trails, as well. A couple of blocks behind is the super cute downtown Plano area with other excellent dining options. Obviously there are tons of retailers all over the area, so really you can stay quite close for anything you need. Accommodation pros: Clean and very functional room. I am on the end of the building, close to my car. I have the option to park outside or in the garage, which is nice in the unpredictable Texas winter. Great amenities, gym/pool. The gym is always available when I have wanted to use it. I have used the laundry throughout my stay, which is very convenient. I've grabbed free breakfast quite a few times. Good breakfast choices considering the pandemic, really. I make jewelry and have to ship stuff frequently, so access to a printer for shipping labels has been a blessing, as well. I wasn't sure how I would manage that during my stay. I prefer to clean my room myself and they have accommodated that request without any issues. The staff is very nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. Lastly, the property feels safe. I don't see random people hanging around anywhere and I have not noticed noise from other guests. I would highly recommend staying here for all these reasons, but I cannot express enough how nice it is to be able to get on the road so easily. Side roads can be congested in the Richardson/Plano area and the location of this hotel saves me about 15 minutes every morning as I head out.

Since the beginning of 2021, I have stayed at this location SEVERAL times as it was my preferred location of Residence Inn's. However, it is obvious that things have changed and not in a good way. Pros: The staff (GM, Front Desk, Housekeepers) are extremely friendly. Cons: Since the beginning of the year, I've noticed that the accommodations for Bonvoy members are pretty much non-existent. There is no such thing as an early check-in, late check-out, regardless of your elite member status. After speaking with management and desk agents, it was explained that people are living there on a temporary basis due to recent storm damages in February 2021. Evidently these people are here more permanently than I realized. Due to being at ”full capacity” EVERY day (I assume), they are not able to accommodate early check-in's (even though the Marriott app acknowledges and charges your card for it) or late check-outs (even if your member status allows 2pm check-outs). Additionally, floor preference is reported to be impossible because of the same reasoning. It is extremely unfortunate that this property is now an ”Extended Stay Motel” rather than the higher quality of excellence that the Marriott Residence Inn brand has stood for over the years. The lack of acknowledgement of the member benefits that come with being a frequent customer has forced me to spend my money elsewhere and find another location or hotel brand that will be more accommodating to my frequency of stays.
