Carra Beag Guest House

The owner was welcoming carried my bag up the stairs, the breakfast was made with enjoyment, the site of the lodge was accessible to town, the beds were very uncomfortable, the pipes made a noise, the housekeeping was very poor, the carpet smelt of urine, the sheets were torn, the floor in the toilet was not clean. The lodge needs some tlc.

Great location, the room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Had a wonderful stay.

Clean. Covid practices were seen practiced in the breakfast room. The breakfast was appreciated. Car parking can be tight. It was the first night, but with fewer cars (and less vans) it was okay the next night. I had a single room. The bed was comfortable and the room was roomy enough for one person. The window opened with a view over the car park and the treed hills beyond. Morning sun. Good wi-fi. Lighting was okay when all the lights were turned on, as the overhead was not bright enough alone. The plug in the hand basin worked (A rare thing :) ). The shower drain was blocked, but appeared to have been fixed after mentioning it. My gripe was the toilet, and why I marked some things down. It barely would flush, even after several flushes; neither toilet paper or solids. When I mentioned it some were in denial there was a problem, but one comment was, “It’s always been like that!” So a known problem, which should have been fixed. I ended up filling a bucket to assist with clearing the toilet. I would be embarrassed not to leave it properly flushed, and that was almost impossible to achieve. Fix the flush on the toilet and stop denying there's no problem.

Great value for money, very clean, comfy bed, great breakfast and quiet at night, what more could you want. The hosts were fantastic too, nothing too much trouble. Reasonably central for all amenities. All in all an excellent stay.

Really enjoyed my stay at Carra Beag guest house in Pitlochry, ideally situated on a quiet road above the town centre, short walk from train station and shops. Lovely view from the room. Room was fairly small and had little in the way of storage, bed was comfortable, shower door did not close properly and the floor was uneven but otherwise fine. Nice breakfast in the morning, choose the night before, well cooked. Would happily stay here again

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights with our dog for our anniversary and it was excellent value for money. Our room was spacious and comfortable and better than expected. Okay, its not the most luxurious but it is perfect for a weekend away to explore, eat and drink around Pitlochry. The breakfast was delicious and exactly what you need to start the day. The garden stretches down the bottom and is a short walk from the town centre. The owners are lovely and work tirelessly to run a great bed and breakfast. Our brat of a labrador started barking when we were out for a meal and they phoned us to let us know without making us feel like it was an inconvenience. We'll definitely return, we had a great time.

I really enjoyed my stay at Carra Beag. In a quiet street above the main street, only s short walk away. I had an attic room which was very spacious, newly decorated, clean and comfortable. A tasty full breakfast in the morning. I especially liked the friendly hosts, very helpful and welcoming. Plus a very tasty breakfast. I would gladly book here again when visiting the area.
