Elgoni Apartments

Great accommodation for what we needed as a base. Lots of lovely eating places walking distance but it’s a hard walk back. Value for money and a pool basically to ourselves at the end of a day. Jump in a taxi to discover lush beaches which are reasonably priced.

Had a totally chilled week at the Elgoni. My friend & I had the pool to ourselves most days. Friendly owners & a beautiful village with plenty of lovely tavernas serving cheap excellent food. If you want to escape from your daily life visit the Elgoni you will not want to leave. We will be returning to this magical place.

Just got back from an amazing holiday. Room was spotless and Helena was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. She works so hard and makes a great breakfast. Take plenty bite cream as with being high up near the mountains there is quite a lot of the little mosquitos waiting to pounce. This is quite high up from the village so a lot of walking needed or hire a car. An amazing relaxing holiday.

Stayed at the Elgoni in June for two weeks, we had one of the top rooms,75 steps from the road,but what a view! sunset every night, the room was perfect for our needs. Nicos and his wife were really nice,and helpful and ran a little bar , perfect for a beer before the walk down to Piscopiano. We really enjoyed our stay at the Elgoni .

Helen & Nikos were great hosts and the apartments had everything we needed, lovely pool area, good bar and fantastic views across to the sea. Nothing was too much trouble and we were made to feel very welcome from day 1. A great base to explore the wonderful island that Crete is.

Elgoni appartments, what can I say! Been there 3 times now. Nicos and Elena go the extra mile in welcoming customers even when flights are delayed and you don't get in until 2am. The apartments are clean and well furnished if you want a base to explore the area and beaches. If you are expecting tooth brush holder try spending more. Air con and safe are always extras unless you go with a top price hotel. If you are going for low price high quality this place is for you. They are situated on the side of a mountain giving breathtaking views of the beach and ,with a balcony, excellent sunsets. Peaceful pool area if that is your thing and close to all local amenaties- resteraunts, bars, local shops. Easy walking distance to old hernossisos and koutloufari. Close to local pick up points for excursions. All in all a perfect welcome and a fab place to stay.

Just got back from a week in Crete staying at Elgoni Apartments in Piskopiano. It was a great experience, we got a room with sea view. Each room also has a balcony with chairs and a table. Room was very clean, maid came to clean and change towels every other day, nice amenities in the room with a mini fridge, a hot plate, kitchen sink etc. Nikos and his wife Elena are super nice people, they also have a bar and small restaurant on the premises, perfect for a quick breakfast or a night cap :) The location is nice and quiet, only a couple of streets away from the center of Piskopiano, a few minutes walk. In the center, lots of restaurants, souvenir shops and grocery stores. I highly recommend this acomodation if you are planning a trip to Crete Heraklion. We spent a glorious 2 weeks here and loved every minute.The views from the balconies are stunning and pool is gorgeous too.Your are a short stroll from the vibrant village life with many places to eat and drink Would definitely recommend staying here
