Pingtan Third Realm – Seaview Holiday Courtyard (Changjiang'ao Beach)

The B&B is halfway up the mountain. There's space for 4-5 cars right outside, but their main parking lot is a huge area just 50 meters down the road, so it's super convenient if you're driving. When we checked in, the front desk was just in a simple living room, and my heart sank a bit – I worried we might have made a bad choice because of the basic environment. Since we arrived at noon and our room wasn't ready yet, we went out for lunch feeling a bit anxious. When we came back in the afternoon, a staff member helped us with our luggage down a small path. Once inside, we discovered this huge, amazing sea-view lawn – it was a real hidden gem! We booked the 'Gratitude' room type, which comes with a small private yard. The actual setting far exceeded my expectations; the contrast was huge. The room itself was decent; the facilities were a bit dated, but everything essential was there, and the bedding felt clean. Breakfast is at the B&B's own restaurant about 200-300 meters down the mountain. If you don't want to walk, just tell the housekeeper in advance, and they'll bring it to your room, which is a nice touch. Overall, this island B&B is pretty good and worth recommending. Having a car definitely makes it easier to get around.

The room was very spacious and clean, with disposable towels provided. It's quite close to several attractions and photo spots on the North Line. Renting an electric scooter from the hotel was also very reasonably priced. There are a few dining options nearby too. The concierge service was excellent, very friendly and welcoming, and they even delivered breakfast to our door every morning. The owner also shared the best times and locations to see the 'blue tears,' so we actually got to witness them this trip! Overall, it was a fantastic experience and highly recommended.

The accommodation was quite nice, and the room facilities were relatively complete. The guesthouse had two courtyards, making it perfect for bringing children to play. It was very close to the beach, and the kids had a great time going beachcombing. The owner even gave us a free car ride to the beach; the service was truly thoughtful.

1. The sea view is stunning, the room is clean and comfortable, and the host is warm and attentive. 2. The sea is right outside the door, the scenery is amazing, and the stay was fantastic. 3. The sea view room has an excellent view and a cozy atmosphere; I would definitely stay here again. 4. The seaside guesthouse is amazing—clean, quiet, and the sea view is so therapeutic.

The rooms and facilities were a bit old, and the cleanliness wasn't great. The sliding doors to the terrace were also difficult to open and close smoothly, and there were several large bags of used mineral water bottles outside the terrace. It was very poor value for money!

An old house by the sea, but the environment is so-so; the service is good.

The clothes hangers were rusty, there were bugs in the room, and the area next to the bed was very dirty.

1. The room photo taken at midnight is photoshopped. The view of the sea from the window is fake; what you see is actually a dilapidated local resident's house. Two elderly people can still look at each other when they come out for a walk... 2. The guesthouse owner is overly shrewd and not very hospitable. The electric scooters outside cost 98 yuan 24 hours, but the guesthouse owner wanted 128 yuan, which would be 250 yuan for a family. Of course, we didn't rent them. The owner wasn't hospitable either, unlike the other guesthouses we stayed at along the way, which all greeted us with smiles, helped with our luggage, and chatted with us. Several guesthouses lent us their scooters when we said we wanted to go to a popular restaurant. No comparison, no harm done! 3. Fearing we wouldn't check out by 12:00, they conspired with the driver to drop us off at the station, claiming there was a huge traffic jam. Our train was at 14:49, but they insisted on leaving by 12:00. When I questioned this, they said they wouldn't be responsible if we were late. It was a very unpleasant experience; they were clearly trying to shoo us away. We arrived at Pingtan Station at 12:30, and we waited at the high-speed rail station for over 2 hours – enough time to visit another attraction! We're not people who don't check out on time; we didn't need this! And this was on October 3rd, a National Day holiday. A word of warning to anyone reading this: don't listen to them too much! 4. The driver's attitude was terrible. We forgot to return the electric scooter we rented outside, and when we said we needed to go back to return it, the driver refused and was very rude. We had to call the rental platform to resolve the issue. If the platform doesn't refund the money, how can this be resolved? 5. I don't recommend the North Line. The beaches are very dirty, the seawater is full of trash, and the sea smells terrible. For families with children, the South Line beaches are much better! They're cleaner and you can catch lots and lots of crabs and shells. 6. This guesthouse is too high up. It would be better to book a room one or two slopes down from here, which would save a lot of walking, as the slopes are very steep and tiring to walk.
